The influence of the graphene content as well as the irradiation dose on the curing behavior and properties of EB/UV-cured graphene composite films was systematically studied. The curing behavior of the composite films was investigated by the double bond conversion rate as well as the gel content, and the properties of the composite films were studied by TGA analysis and tensile tests. For EB-cured graphene composite films, the curing degree increased with the increase in the irradiation dose (60–360 kGy), and the upper and lower surface was uniformly cured. The curing degree and curing depth of the EB-cured films were not affected by the addition of graphene (0.0–5.0 wt.%). Compared to pure resin film, the EB-cured graphene composite film showed enhanced tensile properties. For UV-cured graphene composite films, the curing degree was also enhanced with the increasing irradiation dose, but it decreased significantly with the increase in graphene content (0.0–5.0 wt.%). The curing degrees of upper and lower surfaces of the UV-cured graphene composite film were not uniform, and the curing depth decreased with the increase in graphene concentration. The addition of graphene had an adverse effect on the thermal and mechanical properties of the UV-cured composite film. ThiolsIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : The kinetics and thermal/physical properties of the trithiol-TAE (triallyl ether) system were measured with respect to increasing polyoligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS) concentrations in order to understand how the presence of POSS nanoparticles affects network formation at low loadings. Vinyl POSS monomer (vPOSS-Bu4) with both vinyl and carboxylate pendant groups was synthesized via a thermally initiated, free-radical reaction to improve the compatibility of the inorganic particles with the trithiol and triallyl ether comomoners. Chemically modified vPOSS-Bu4 particles were incorporated into the trithiol-TAE polymer networks by a thiol-ene free-radical photopolymerization at molar concentrations of 0, 1, and 5 ene mol%. The polymerization rates were analyzed using real-time FTIR and photo-DSC. The polymerization rates showed no significant changes with increasing vPOSS-Bu4 concentration. Thermal analyses of the films by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) demonstrated that thermal stability improves without affecting T g as the POSS concentration increased. Additionally, scratch resistance increased and flame spread decreased markedly with increasing POSS concentration for concentrations up to 5 mol% vPOSS-Bu4. VernisIndex. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : In the present study the effect of TiO2-SiO2-GLYMO nanocomposite on surface properties of leather was investigated. The TiO2-SiO2-GLYMO composite was prepared through the sol-gel route from tetraethoxysilane (TEOS) and titanium n-butoxide (TBO). 3-glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane (GLYMO) was added as coupling agent to provide a stable bond between metal oxides and leather substrate. The prepared composite was applied by spraying on the top coat of leathers in finishing. The surface properties observed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) showed an even and homogenous coating obtained on leather by application of the composite in the presence of lacquer. The chemical structure of composite films was examined via Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) and Si-O-Ti bond and opening of epoxy rings of GLYMO were revealed. The presence of Ti and Si in the composite treated leather samples was ascertained by inductively coupled plasma optic emission spectrometer (ICP-OES). The results of the physical and fastness tests indicated that the use of TiO2-SiO2-GLYMO nanocomposite improves some performance characteristics of leather such as finish adhesion, dry and wet rubbing fastness, colour fastness to light and UV light. The results are promising for the refinement of leather surface with the application of the nanocomposite in the finishing process.

Also, these products should be easy to formulate. Furthermore, secondary properties such as barrier effect, reduced shrinkage during curing and improved adhesion on substrates with hydroxyl function can be achieved in various coatings systems without compromising the degree of gloss. The properties can only be achieved by conventional means by using several layers. Note de contenu : - Manufacturing of silica nanocomposites
