solvantsIndex. décimale : 541.2 Chimie théorique : structure moléculaire, atomique, chimie quantique Résumé : Depuis ses débuts, la chimie théorique, et notamment la chimie quantique, a contribué fortement à l’analyse et à la compréhension des mécanismes de réaction, avec un impact d’autant plus marqué que les travaux étaient réalisés dans le cadre d’une collaboration expérience/théorie. Le présent article se focalise sur les études réalisées dans le domaine de la chimie organométallique moléculaire pour laquelle cette collaboration a été notoirement bénéfique, en raison de la très grande variété de mécanismes envisageables et de l’impact en synthèse fine et en catalyse homogène.
L’article s’intéresse avant tout à la façon d’entreprendre l’étude théorique. Il aborde succinctement la question des méthodes de calcul et développe plus largement les questions de représentation des systèmes chimiques. Pour cette thématique qui évolue très rapidement, les exemples choisis permettent d’illustrer comment ces études, des plus qualitatives aux plus quantitatives, ont contribué à la compréhension de la réactivité chimique et à la découverte des facteurs chimiques qui la contrôlent, ce qui en retour a contribué à rendre les synthèses plus efficaces et sélectives.Note de contenu : - QUELLE METHODE THEORIQUE CHOISIR ? : Comment choisir le "niveau de calcul" ? - Comment étudier la réactivité

AminesUne amine est un composé organique dérivé de l'ammoniac dont certains hydrogènes ont été remplacés par un groupement carboné. Si l'un des carbones liés à l'atome d'azote fait partie d'un groupement carbonyle, la molécule appartient à la famille des amides. Découvertes en 1849, par Wurtz les amines furent initialement appelées alcaloïdes artificiels.
On parle d'amine primaire, secondaire ou tertiaire selon que l'on a un, deux ou trois hydrogènes substitués.
Par exemple, la triméthylamine est une amine tertiaire, de formule N(CH3)3.
Typiquement, les amines sont obtenues par alkylation d'amines de rang inférieur. En alkylant l'ammoniac, on obtient des amines primaires, qui peuvent être alkylées en amines secondaires puis amines tertiaires. L'alkylation de ces dernières permet d'obtenir des sels d'ammonium quaternaire.
D'autre méthodes existent : 1. Les amines primaires peuvent être obtenues par réduction d'un groupement azoture, 2. Les amines peuvent aussi être obtenues par la réduction d'un amide, à l'aide d'un hydrure, 3. L'amination réductrice permet l'obtention d'amines substituées à partir de composés carbonylés (aldéhydes ou cétones), 4. Les amines primaires peuvent être obtenues par la réaction de Gabriel.
