Surfaces (Physique)Index. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : In this work, epoxy/2pack coatings containing polyaniline (PANI) in combination with Ag and ZnO nanoparticles have been synthesized. The nanoparticles were incorporated with bisphenol-A diglycidyl ether epoxy resin and polyamino-amide. The mechanical properties of the fabricated coatings, such as the pendulum hardness, scratch resistance, and impact strength, were studied. The composition of the fabricated coatings was confirmed by attenuated total reflectance infrared spectroscopy measurements. The thermal degradation and indentations were characterized through the use of differential scanning calorimetry and nano-indentation techniques, respectively. The surface morphology of the fabricated coatings was characterized using field-emission scanning electron microscopy. The synergistic effects of the Ag and ZnO nanoparticles on the corrosion resistance of the coatings after different exposure periods in 3.5% NaCl solutions were determined by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. All the results were consistent with one another and confirmed that the addition of Ag and ZnO nanoparticles improved the mechanical properties of the coatings. This effect also led to a notable increase in the corrosion resistance of the PANI coatings. Note de contenu : - ATR-IR measurement

The corn silk was first dried under sunlight, powdered and dispersed into the homogeneous solution using sodium hydroxide/ urea at a boil. Zinc acetate and a cationic surfactant along with the polyester fabric were placed in the alkali solution with or without corn silk at a boil for 1 hour. Very good antimicrobial properties against P. aeruginosa were obtained on the fabric containing corn silk/zinc oxide composites close to 100 and 87 %, respectively. Finally, the application of corn silk along with a synthesis of ZnO particles introduced a novel polyester fabric with antimicrobial, highly hydrophilic properties. SurfactantsIndex. décimale : 668.1 Agents tensioactifs : savons, détergents Résumé : Disk-like and flower-like ZnO nanostructures were prepared in alcoholic solutions with SDS-free and various sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) concentrations by a non-basic solution method. In all cases, the obtained crystals exhibited the crystal structure of wurtzite ZnO and photoluminescence at UV and green regions. The ZnO grown in the SDS solution have a morphology of aggregated disk-like and flower-like structures. The origin of morphology different of the ZnO crystals is explained by a chemical interaction between surface of ZnO seed crystal and SDS micelles. In this method, ZnO nanoparticles were first modified by isopropyl tri(dioctyl pyrophosphate acyloxy) titanate (NDZ201) to obtain NDZ201 modified ZnO, and then the NDZ201 modified ZnO was introduced into hydrogenated castor oil to prepare modified hydrogenated castor oli/nano-ZnO (MHCO/ZnO) composites. The stability and anti-UV susceptibility of MHCO/ZnO composites were investigated. The results show that MHCO/ZnO composites have botter UV resistance and stability than hydrogenated castor oil. Bath MI-1C0 and ZnO have the anti-UV synergistic effect. MHCO/ZnO composites as fatliquoring agents were applied to leather. The yellowing resistance, softness, and strength properties involving tensile strength, elongation al break and tear strength of fatliquored leather were studied. The tests indicated that the leather fatliquored by MHCOIZnO composites exhibited an excellent anti-yellowing performance. ZnO nanoparticles had toughening and reinforcing effects for leather. The morphology of fractured surfaces of the selected leather samples and the distribution of Zn element were observed by SEM-EDS. SEM-EDS analysis reveals that ZnO nanoparticles exist on the leather fibres.
