The innovation and development process is thus one of the most important success factors in Europe. The European Cornet project "AdvancedPartSim" demonstrates with seven case studies that a systematic approach can reduce the time and cost outlay in the development of injection molding products by up to 30 %. Note de contenu : - Systematic procedure improves competitiveness
- Simulation throughout the entire product development process

Textiles et tissus -- IndustrieIndex. décimale : 677 Textiles Résumé : Continual efforts to improve production speed, reduce downtime and drive profitability in the fi ber processing industry are fuelling increased take-up of mobile modular creels which allow offline loading and unloading of large fi ber packages.
And now robotic handling technologies are helping fiber manufacturers increase the efficiency and accuracy of their processes yet further, by removing the need for manual handling and its associated weaknesses. Remote loading and unloading modular mobile creels enable fiber manufacturers to load packages of fiber away from the main creel, without interrupting production. Once loaded, the mobile module can be plugged into the production cycle with minimal downtime, set-up or format changes.
By automating the loading and unloading of the mobile creel, manufacturers can optimize the process even further, and in doing so in-crease the rate at which they feed fibers into downstream processes ; therefore driving productivity and profitability.
The operational benefits of loading and un-loading the creel offline using robotic tech-nology are clear and considerable.Note de contenu : - INCREASED CAPACITY

Textiles et tissusIndex. décimale : 677 Textiles Résumé : Soft computing refers to a collection of computational techniques which study, model and analyse complex phenomena. As many textile engineering problems are inherently complex in nature, soft computing techniques have often provided optimum solutions to these cases. Although soft computing has several facets, it mainly revolves around three techniques; artificial neural networks, fuzzy logic and genetic algorithms. The book is divided into five parts, covering the entire process of textile production, from fibre manufacture to garment engineering. These include soft computing techniques in yarn manufacture and modelling, fabric and garment manufacture, textile properties and applications and textile quality evaluation. Note de contenu : I. INTRODUCTION TO SOFT COMPUTING : 1. Introduction to soft computing techniques : artificial neural networks, fuzzy logic and genetic algorithms - 2. Artificial neural networks in materials modeling - 3. Fundamentals of soft models in textiles
II. SOFT COMPUTING IN YARN MANUFACTURING : 4. Artificial neural network in yarn property modeling - 5. Performance evaluation and enhancement of artificial neural networks in predicting modeling - 6. Yarn engineering using an artificial neural network
