Teinture -- Fibres textiles
Textiles et tissus -- Propriétés mécaniquesIndex. décimale : 667.3 Teinture et impression des tissus Résumé : The one-bath pigment coloration and finishing process decreases the consumptions related to the energy, water, chemicals, labour, and production time as compared to the conventional two-bath application. Conventionally, pigment coloration uses binders, such as acrylic, for the attachment of the pigment onto the fabric. Then, the finishes are applied in a separate step. One-bath pigment coloration and finishing can solve this problem but the compatibility among the pigments, crosslinkers, and fabrics is critical and difficult to achieve. In addition, the performance of the fabric treated with one-bath application should match the performance of the fabric treated with the conventional two-bath coloration and finishing. To address such challenges, this article studies the performance of the one-bath pigment coloration and finishing using three primary colours, five crosslinkers, and an oil and water repellent finish in the pad-dry-cure process. The results show that all the formulas with the crosslinkers are comparable with each other as well as associated reference samples coloured with conventional acrylic binder. Nevertheless, the bio-based crosslinkers, citric acid and succinic acid, are more compatible and sustainable for the one-bath pigment coloration and finishing. The fastness properties, shrinkage, crease recovery angle, and oil and water repellency were also improved due to the one bath pigment coloration and finishing. Teinture -- Fibres textilesIndex. décimale : 667.3 Teinture et impression des tissus Résumé : pH-responsive cotton can be used as a flexible sensor because it changes colour with pH. However, the safety of some synthetic pH-responsive dyes is uncertain, so the application of pH-responsive cotton to wounds is limited. Herein, natural madder dye was selected to explore the dyeing conditions and produce safe, pH-responsive cotton. Based on experimental data and computational calculations, the variation in the conjugation of the molecule was responsible for the colour change of the cotton dyed with madder. When the pH of the madder solution increases, the phenolic hydroxyl group of the alizarin, which is its main component, is ionised, and the colour changes from yellow to purple. The effect of the dye concentration was studied, and the results showed that the higher the dye concentration, the more obvious the colour change of the cotton. The reversibility of cotton dyed with madder was investigated, and the results showed that there was a good reversible transformation with changing pH. The reversibility time of the colour change was less than 20 seconds. Note de contenu : - MATERIALS AND METHODS : Materials - Methods

Spectroscopie d'absorptionIndex. décimale : 667.2 Colorants et pigments Résumé : We examined in detail how different colour nuances come about and where the coloristic potentials and limits are for iron oxide red pigments. First, the complex electronic structure of α-Fe2O3 was derived as an illustrative model and visuallised by the absorption spectrum of a hematite single crystal. In the case of the almost isometric hematite red pigments, the specific variation in particle size was used to explain the reasons for the changes in hue by means of the absorption spectra, with their characteristic values. Titre : Simply stir in : scatter-free red : A pioneering, highly transparent, blue shade red perylene pigment, which has low scattering properties, extraordinary tinting strength, is non-fading and can be stirred in directly. It is compatible with modern automotive coatings systems and does not require the conventional milling involved in paint production Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Javier Morcillo Ruiz, Auteur Année de publication : 2019 Article en page(s) : p. 128-131 Note générale : Bibliogr.

Transparence (optique)Index. décimale : 667.2 Colorants et pigments Résumé : Perylene pigments have been used in the paint industry for many years. They are particularly highly valued due to their intensive chroma, outstanding transparency and non-fading characteristics that meet the most stringent of demands. Now, for the first time, it has been possible to implement these properties in a stir-in pigment, which is suitable for outdoor applications and meets the requirements of automotive paint in particular.
