Polymères -- Recyclage
Recyclage chimiqueIndex. décimale : 668.9 Polymères Résumé : The significant difference between the mechanical recycling of mainly PET bottle waste and chemical recycling, which is ultimately aiming at all kind of polyester waste, are process/investment costs and process complexity or more generally the difference between manufacturing light industry and heavy industry. Within the first case, one is able to generate a result or prof¬it with an investment between € 0.5 million and € 5 million compared to the heave industry investment of between € 20 million and € 200 million or even higher. Another hurdle of chemical recycling is the fact that investments are today still ideology driven and not market driven. As long as fossil-based polyester is competing in a free market with chemical recycling¬based polyester, the latter it has no real chance of winning. The world would need a general ruling that the price of a product depends on the carbon source - fossil or recycling-loop - and all fossil-based products have to pay a recycling-loop-tax which makes fossil products automatically more expensive than recycling-loop-based products.

Polyamide 6Index. décimale : 677.4 Textiles artificiels Résumé : The electrospinning method was applied to construct polyamide 6 (PA6) nano-cobweb fibrous membranes at various PA6 and barium chloride (BaCl2) concentrations. The surface morphologies of the membranes were observed by the scanning electron microscope (SEM), and the average nanofiber diameter, average nano-cobweb diameter and coverage rate of nano-cobweb were calculated. The results show that the nano-cobweb membrane is composed of conventional electrospun fibers and ultrafine spider-web-like nano-cobwebs. With the increasing of PA6 concentration, the average diameters of the nanofiber and the nano-cobweb both in-crease, whereas the nano-cobweb coverage rate is high at a moderate PA 6 concentration. With the increasing of BaCl2 concentration, the nanofiber diameters become larger but the nano-cobweb diameters barely change. The nano-cobweb coverage rate increases initially and then decreases. ProductionIndex. décimale : 677.4 Textiles artificiels Résumé : Maintenance and adequate machine settings have wide impact on the properties of the resultant yarn. Many times it was studied that the machine production and the quality of fully drawn yarn (FDY) have been totally de-pendent on the machine settings like draw ratio and winding speed. High¬speed spinning of PA 66 yarn at speeds greater than 5,200 m/min pro¬duces highly oriented and crystalline yarn which may be categorized as FDY and those filaments were spun at a speed of 4,000 m/min can categorized under partially oriented yarn (POY) which is highly suitable as a feed ma¬terial for draw-texturing machines. Index. décimale : 677.4 Textiles artificiels Résumé : Polyester fiber is widely used for many applications due to its structural properties. These properties are totally dependent on yarn types, filament, fineness and shapes etc. These properties could be considered for the extents of deformations in the filament on the efficacy of heater temperature and disc to yarn ratio. Here, the base raw material partially oriented yarn package of 250/48 denier was used to process on the draw-texturing machine with standard and adjusted settings, later the testing was carried out to know the effect of machine parameters on the denier, tenacity and broken filaments- tight spots. During project evaluation it was found that there is a huge difference in twisting and de-twisting which causes an increase in the number of tight spots. Furthermore, tenacity and crimp contraction were in¬creased where boiling water shrinkage was decreased, when the heater temperature increased. Note de contenu : - Materials and methods

Textiles et tissus -- JaponIndex. décimale : 677 Textiles Résumé : The newly developed polyester (PET) filament fabric Camifu by Toray Industries, Inc., Tokyo/ Japan, combines the softness, smoothness, and comfort of synthetic fi bers with the natural feel and random unevenness of tradi¬tional Japanese paper. The fabric is suitable for an array of apparel uses, from casual medium-weight fabrics for men's and women's outerwear to cut-and-sewn apparel, broadening the horizons of upmarket fashions in Japan and overseas markets. It plans to commercialize Camifu from spring/ summer 2022.
Unlike conventional fabrics, Camifu can match the Japanese paper features that inspired it. That is because Toray employed Nanodesign, a conjugate spinning technology, to develop a flat C cross-sectional shape that delivers a precise arrangement of 3 different polymers.Note de contenu : - Fig. 1 : Cross-section of Camifu fiber with flat C-structure - in the middle a soluble polymer
