Torsion (mécanique)Index. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Plastic/metal hybrid structures for industrial applications have been established for years, e. g. for front-end carriers in automotive vehicles. Previously, in assembly injection molding joints were based on form/force fit or friction locking. Novel adhesion promoters now permit adhesive bonding of hybrid structures with improved component properties. Note de contenu : - The hylight process
- Confirmed by close-to-production tests
- Weight savings of some 20 percent possible
- FIGURES : Established plastic/metal hybrid structures : front-end carriers, for example, are mounted in automobiles (here in the Ford C-MAX) as mass-produced lightweight hybrid components - 1. Improved component properties : concepts for joining metal and plastic components and their characteristics - 2. Erlanger carrier : the model component combines important design features of series parts, thereby permitting complex components tests - 3. Hylight process : the processing chain for producing plastic/metal hybrid components - 4. Test setup : hood latch test and torsion test - 5. Overview of the front-end carrier's performance increase - 6. Langues : Anglais (eng) Index. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Polyphthalamide - The example of a charge-air duct produced from newly developed polyphthalamide shows that suitable components can be manufactured and tested under racing conditions in a very short time using a combination of CAE, simulation and prototyping. This approach offers the potential to achieve faster implementation of weight-saving designs based on high-performance plastics instead of metal. [article]
Titre : A new approach in offline-optimization of the injection molding process Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Karl Kuhmann, Auteur ; S. Meckbach, Auteur ; G. Zhao, Auteur ; Gottfried Wilhelm Ehrenstein, Auteur ; R. Jeltsch-Fricker, Auteur Année de publication : 2000 Article en page(s) : p. 327-331 Note générale : Bibliogr. Langues : Anglais (eng) Index. décimale : 668.9 Polymères Résumé : For the purpose of process optimization of the injection-molding process a robust processing point is determined, at which specified characteristics of the parts are met and the process is insensitive to disturbances. The idea of the new optimization concept is to ensure that also around the robust processing point, within the so-called robust processing window, the part geometry is in tolerance and a low standard deviation respectively a high SN-ratio is achieved. Instead of reducing the optimization task to a one-dimensional problem by combining the target functions, in this approach one defines lower and upper bounds for the characteristics to be optimized. These bounds must be fulfilled in the range of the robust processing window and, if necessary, might be sharpened or relaxed during the optimization procedure. The corresponding response surfaces are generated by means of new Scattered Data Interpolation-methods. Note de contenu :
