Traction (mécanique)Index. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : In case of thermoset Sheet Molding Compounds, the density of the resin paste can be reduced up to 22 % by replacing conventional filler materials such as calcium carbonate with bio-based filler materials – with consistent mechanical properties. This was proved on filler materials, which are by-products of plant-based oils and timber production. Note de contenu : - SMC-processing by compression molding process

ViscositéIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : The mass production of fiber-reinforced polymer composites is based on the high reaction rate of modern resin systems. However, conventional approaches for the viscosity measurement require preparation time and therefore cause a blind spot at the beginning of the reaction. A process-oriented approach intends to close this gap. Note de contenu : - Temperature- and time-dependent viscosity

Titre : Water dispersible core technology for the manufacturing of hollow-structure parts Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Li Ma, Auteur ; Peter Mitschang, Auteur ; Amol Ogale, Auteur ; Alois K. Schlard, Auteur Année de publication : 2007 Article en page(s) : p. 24-33 Note générale : Bibliogr. Langues : Américain (ame) Index. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : For manufacturing parts of composite material, metal molds are normally used. However, metal molds are very heavy and expensive. In addition, for some complex geometry parts, such as hollow structures, metal cores are not suitable. In this situation, water dispersible cores can be well utilized instead of metal. In this paper the properties of water dispersible tooling material have been studied, including physical properties and mechanical properties. The washout capability and process challenges have been analyzed. Moreover, a hollow-structure prototype and a T-shape beam, made of carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP), are manufactured by using Vacuum-Assisted Resin Transfer Molding (VARTM) process. Furthermore, mean roughness of the prototype was investigated. Permalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=23357
