Ways of producing innovative, lightweight components could be developed from the results as a prerequisite for extending the range of applications of fiber-reinforced composites and for creating new end-uses. The composite constructions could be used in car and machine building and in the chemical, electrical and electronics industries, as well as in the construction, safety, sports and leisure sectors. Note de contenu : - Construction and samples production
- Deformation behavior - a question of incorporating the reinforcing yarns
- Composite production and demonstration of their functions
- FIGURES : 1. Sensor for recording the stitch tension force
- 2. Curves of the knitting yarn tension force at different feed values
- 3. Pictures of the structure of the test samples with loose and rigid stitches as a result of changing the knitting yarn tension force
- 4. Draping test carried out on the Drapestest device
- 5. Puncture penetration test carried out on ITM's test rig
- 6. Shear force curves on samples having reinforcing yarns incorporated in line with the stitches and not in line with the stitches
- 7. Manual draping tests involving production of a demonstration component using a Z-shaped holder showing half of the tool, the digitized geometry, of the blank produced, draping simulation, of the textile preform and the final component

Simulation par ordinateurIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Textiles for reinforcement - Draping simulation is gaining ever more significance for textile reinforcing structures in designing fiber reinforced plastic composite parts (FRPC). This approach allows manufacturing processes to be conducted in a way that is efficient in material usage and cost terms. In order to better exploit the enormous lightweight construction potential work is being carried out to enable mass production of FRPC components. Note de contenu : - Mass production
- Structure fixation influences shear stiffness
