Temps de cycle (production) -- RéductionIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Until now, series production of CFRP components in the automotive industry has failed due to excessively long process times and high costs. A new, fast-curing epoxy resin system now makes structural and visible components in vehicle construction ready for series production. Note de contenu : - CFRP for the mobility of the future
- Main characteristics of the modified epoxy resin system
- Application example : the Porsche 911 GT3RS suspension system
- prepreg pressing processes significantly reduce production cycle times
- Press Compression Moulding (PCM)
- Resin Transfer Moulding (RTM)
- PCM versus RTM

TransportIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : The transportation sector is struggling to reduce component mass while maintaining or lowering production costs. This benefits composites, which can reduce mass 30-60 % vs. metals while also providing parts-consolidation opportunities that reduc assembly time and costs, tooling costs, and hence systems costs to produce components. StratifiésIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : As automakers scramble to meet tough new emissions and fuel economy standards globally without sacrificing safety, cost, aesthetics, and performance, interest in composite materials and processes is at an all-time high. Fortunately, there are many ways that composites can help automakers meet their goals. A consortium of companies decided to investigate new options to improve the mechanical performance vs. weight and cost for direct-long-fiber thermoplastic (D-LFT) composites combined with semifinished fabrics and laminates made with unidirectional glass tapes. Results of the study are described here. Note de contenu : - Direct-long fiber thermoplastic (D-LFT) composites
- Setting up the study : Molds for small and large part evaluations - Benchmarking an existing part - Materials used - equipment/processing equipment used - Preheating tape-based materials - Post-mold testingPermalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=15604
