In print finishing, adhesives based on aqueous polymer dispersions have been used successfully for many years for film lamination. Their share of the total adhesives market has been growing continuously in Europe; it seems that the end of this trend is still not in sight, especially in overseas markets. With the new dispersion which is being presented, adhesive manufacturers will have the opportunity to meet the market's higher demands from the point of view of quality and ecology.Note de contenu : - Adhesives values

- FIGURES : 1. Overview of the most properties of film adhesives - 2. A similar reaction also takes place between the polymer and the reactive groups of a polyolefinic surface - 3. Shows the increase in the volume of foam in relation to the best time. Two standard products (green and blue lines) were compared with the new dispersion (red line). By adding aprox 0,1% of an antifoam it is possible to suppress to foaming of the new dispersion further (yellow line) - 4. 1 Kg adhesive (flow time 16s) was foamed up with a high-speed stirrer (80mm, speed 800 min. The breakdown of the foam was measured in relation to timePermalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=27644

Revêtements -- AdditifsIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : How wax additives can improve the protective and aesthetic properties of wood coatings ? Coatings on wood are used for aesthetic and protective reasons. Wax additives are commonly used in wood coatings to improve surface properties such as scratch resistance, block resistance, surface slip, water repellency and touchability. Furthermore, their excellent matting properties and positive effects on orientation and stabilisation of aluminium pigments and matting agents broaden their application possibilities. Hence, wax additives are gaining greater acceptance by coating formulators. Note de contenu : - Theoretical reflection of various wax additives and their properties in wood coatings

Colour has been the norm in our lives for years, where ever we are, and what ever we are looking at we see different shades of colour. Most of us however, tend to take these for granted; colour is just there. But how do man made colours come about, and what can we expect to see in the future ? Colour has always played an important part in people's lives. As far back as cave drawings, pigments were the medium used to express a state of mind, to decorate and communicate. After the dawn of the new millenium, a renewed emphasis was placed on the joy of colour. Objects and buildings, and indeed our entire surroundings, are becoming more and more colourful. New applications require new types of pigments, which in turn call for new technologies. At the same time, tighter legalisation dictates environmentally safe procedures. The search for innovative solutions to the two demands of market forces and environmental law leads to he development of innovative colours. Note de contenu : - The correct pigment choice

ViscositéIndex. décimale : 667.2 Colorants et pigments Résumé : How two innovative rubine pigments take DPP chemistry in a new direction ?
With the addition of five new high-performance red pigments, including two rubine pigments with improved properties, the Pigments & Additives Division of Clariant shows its outstanding innovative power. A highly automated plant, build with the latest technology, gets Clariant ready to supply the market with high-performance red pigments for years to come. The potential of the new red pigments is far from being fully explored. The development of tailored DPP pigments for sophisticated printing jobs and colour filters, to be launched by Clariant in the near future, will be only one of many more innovation to come out of DPP chemistry.Note de contenu : - Highly automated plant
