Note de contenu : - parcours visage

Vieillissement cutané -- PréventionIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : The many environmental factors related to modem lifestyle generate a skin imbalance that leads to premature ageing. In this study, we evaluate the capacity of a new skin delivery system based on bicosomes (named bicosome-xanthin) to provide intense detox and revert the signs of ageing. This system was specially designed to incorporate, stabilise and deliver microalgae extract into deep skin layers. Bicosome¬xanthin proved to be effective in protecting the skin against pollution particles and to prevent 90% of the damage caused by blue light. This extraordinary ingredient also proved in vivo to boost the skin's antioxidant capacity and barrier function, to accelerate epidermal cell renewal, improve skin brightness and firmness, and visibly reduce wrinkles. StatistiquesIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : Jaka Biotech reveals the findings of a study that indicates the topical use of a Lotus corniculatus seed extract yields clinical benefits in reducing sebum production and enhancing skin pore appearance for individuals with oily skin.
The increasing popularity of botanical ingredients in skincare and haircare is attributed to their efficacy and natural origins. However, limited research has focused on the synthesis and secretion of sebum. This study aims to explore the novel composition of Lotus corniculatus seed extract (Smopore LC) and its inhibitory effects on lipogenesis in SZ95 sebocytes. Topical application of Smopore LC resulted in an immediate and long-lasting reduction in sebum content and sebum area on Chinese oily skin, achieved by downregulating sebaceous lipogenesis through the LA and DHT pathway. Smopore LC shows promise as a new botanical ingredient for oily skin.Note de contenu : - MATERIALS AND METHODS : LC composition analysis - Cell culture - Cell staining

RétinoïdesIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : Retinoids are the gold standard for reducing signs of agins when applied topicallly to the skin. Familiar examples of retinoids are retinoic acid, retinol, and retinol esters like retinyl palmitate. Retinol is highly effective, but it can be unstable in formulation and irritating to skin at cosmetically useful levels.
In one review of published studies, retinol was associated with skin redness, dryness and flaking. Derivatizing retinol can reduce its potential for irritation and improve its stability. In particular, fatty acid derivatives of retinol can deliver high efficacy without the irritation.
Retinyl linoleate is a compound composed of retinol and high-purity linoleic acid from safflower oil joined by an ester bond. Retinyl biloleate is a biobased, formulation-stable, easy-to-handle, nonirritating antiaging ingredient. Retinhl linoleate is historically known to be non-irritating and stable in formulation.
