The characteristics of inks required for various printing processes are different. We have formulated the ink-compound such as Styro Letter Compound for letter press ink, Styro Screen Compound for screen printing and Styro Litho Compound for lithographic printing. The inks prepared from these ink compounds were actually used on respective printing presses. The results are satisfactory. Note de contenu :

The rising significance of clean technologies is nothing but old wine in a new bottle. The coatings industry is becoming borderless day by day, thus making it truly global in nature. However quite unexpectedly the developments in different parts of the world have not been similar and consistent. There are still differences over VOC emission limits in Europe, the USA, and Japan. This paper reviews the developments taking place in water-based coatings especially with respect to electrodeposition paint in Asia, Europe and the United States. A special emphasis is laid on the new trends emerging in electrodeposition technology, in India in particular. India is stepping into the new millennium with the latest benefits of electrodeposition technology and is a witness to the changes taking place worldwide. Note de contenu : Bibliogr. Most of the automotive industries are now in a process of replacing metal body components with plastics components due to its light weight, ease in shaping and other advantages over metal components. Most of the automotive manufacturers are applying paints by electrostatic spray technique due to its better efficiency, less loss, reduction in VOC and better finishing. Plastics being non-conductive in nature cannot be applied by electrostatic spray application. For coating plastic by electrostatic application we have to provide a metal backing, which needs to be cleaned after every paint application to maintain its conductiveness ie the paint deposited is to be removed which is a very tedious job. This necessitated the development of a paint which when applied on plastic will act as a conductive coat. This paper reviews some formulating concepts of a conductive primer and how it has brought a new revolution in the world of plastics. Note de contenu : - Coatings based on conductive polymers

Sometimes, thinning of the paint will also required.
This paper discribes proper methods of mixing and thinning paint, including one- and two-component paint materials, and stresses the importance of following directions and avoiding common mistackes.
Mixing and thinning appear to be simple activities that don't require much thought, but very often coating failures can be traced to improper mixing or thinning. Let's take a look at some of the troubles that can develop.Note de contenu : - Failures caused by improper mixing and thinning
