les polyoléfines thermoplastiques semi-cristallines : polyéthylène (PE), polypropylène (PP), polyméthylpentène (PMP), polybutène-1 (PB-1) ;

Its advantages are primarily the high material, energy and workspace preservation process as well as the complete elimination of solvents.
In the past, the range of UV curable HMPSA products was rather limited, but a significantly broad selection of adhesives with new applications is available due to new raw materials.
These new UV curable HMPSAs tailored by the formulator have well defined characteristics. New products with designed-in properties are available which were unthinkable in the past, such as offering a combination of excellent peel values and high cohesion properties; outstanding resistance to high humidity and temperatures; and improved resistance against plasticizers.
Apart from the presentation of novel products, practical and illustrative examples for the self adhesive rape sector will be discussed.Note de contenu : - Crosslinking with UV light

Réticulation (polymérisation)Index. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : Nowadays, coating systems have to fulfill a wide range of requirements. In addition to mechanical properties such as hardness and elasticity, resistance and weatherability, specifically corrosion or chemical resistance are also important. Increasing attention is also being paid to points such as the use of sustainable reactants or the energy optimization of synthesis processes.1 The use of enzymes in the synthetic processes offers two main advantages: firstly, reaction temperatures can be significantly reduced, for example in the production of polyesters, and as a result and a major advantage, certain functional groups can be selectively retained during the reaction.2,3 Thus, for example, aromatic hydroxyl groups can be obtained, while aliphatic groups are esterified.4,5 This allows the preparation of polyesters that do not only have terminal OH groups, but hydroxyl groups within the chain that can act as additional crosslinking points during network formation or as adhesion-promoting groups.6,7 In this work, the influence of such an aliphatic–aromatic polyester, produced enzymatically at low temperatures, on the coating properties is investigated when using different hardener components. Coating formulations were created, and the required OH functionality and the hydroxyl number of the enzymatic polyester have been calculated by using two different, independent methods. Besides the development of guide formulations, the unique mechanical properties of coatings based on the enzymatic polyester were studied. In addition to comparative analysis of network densities, the coatings were also investigated by IR spectroscopy in order to assess the network formation reaction spectroscopically. It can be shown that additional OH groups in the polyester chain increase the network density, but this is not at the expense of elasticity. Thus, enzymatically produced polyesters combine the advantages of low reaction temperatures during production with a unique property profile due to aliphatic and aromatic moieties as well as the partial preservation of OH groups within the chain.

Revêtements organiquesIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : Biobased materials are increasingly important in the coatings industry as more companies align their sustainability goals to reduce environmental footprints and develop more eco-friendly products to meet customer needs. However, widespread adoption of biobased materials in coating applications can be challenging due to the lack of available biobased materials that are both cost-effective and performance competitive.
To solve these challenges, we developed a series of cost-competitive biobased epoxy resins using distilled tall oil (DTO) as the feedstock. DTO, a bio-refinery product derived from crude tall oil, is a byproduct of the pinewood pulping process and is 100% biobased. DTO is a mixture of tall oil fatty acids (TOFA)—mainly oleic acid and linoleic acid—and tall oil rosin acids (rosin)—mainly abietic acid and its isomers. Figure 1 shows the molecular structures of the main components in DTO.
The properties of these novel DTO-based epoxy resins can be tuned by changing the ratio of TOFA to rosin in DTO. The three DTO-based epoxy resins listed in Table 1 are amber color liquids at room temperature, have a biocontent range of 40% to 50% and an epoxy equivalent weight (EEW) ranging from 500 to 700 g/eq. They are designed for use in applications such as coatings, composites and adhesives, and performance enhancement(s) can be achieved with proper formulation. This article will demonstrate how these novel DTO-based epoxy resins can help improve miscibility and compatibility, water resistance, adhesion, flexibility, impact resistance, and chemical resistance in 2K epoxy coatings.Note de contenu : - EXPERIMENTAL SECTION : Coating model formulations - Characterization
