Thermoplastiques -- Moulage par injectionIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Predrying - The production of large-volume game pieces by injection molding poses great challenges to processors. Because of the large proportion of wood in the WPC pellet stock and long storage time, the water content may exceed 1 %, which makes predrying essential. Note de contenu : - Influence of water on thermoplastics
- Hygroscopicity of wood
- Challenges for WPC injection molding
- Optimizing the drying parameters

RhéologieIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Cotton stalk is a bio-waste of cotton cultivation that contains nearly 45% cellulose and can be used as a reinforcement for thermoplastics. The influence of cotton stalk concentration, chemical treatments and the presence of a compatibilizer on the mechanical, rheological, and morphological properties of the resulting composite materials is investigated in this paper. TitaneIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Bamboo fibers (BFs) coated with titanium urushiol (BFTiU) was prepared by in situ reaction. Effects of activation time, urushiol concentration, reaction time and butyl titanate concentration etc on the coating ratio of BFTiU were investigated. On the other hand, the BFTiU was characterized by FTIR measurements, scanning electron microscope, thermo gravimetric analysis and differential scanning calorimetry. The results showed that titanium urushiol compound was coated on the BFs by coordination reaction and the coating ratio of BFTiU reached 35% at the optimal preparation condition. It also could be found that BFTiU possessed better heat resistant properties than BFs. Due to titanium urushiol coated on BFs, the elongation at break, the maximum deflection and the bending strength of BFTiU/PP composites were 33%, 30 % and 10% higher than those of BP/PP composites respectively. Particularly, the tensile strength of BFTiU/PP composites was better than that of BP/PP composites at the presence of 70% BFTiU. It was found that the best appearance of the composite plate was that prepared by adding 15% pineapple leaf fibre. Compared with the composite plate without pineapple leaf fibre, it was found that the tensile strength, elongation at break, collapse height, collapse strength and air permeability were reduced compared with the original, while the water permeability, surface wettability and water absorption were greatly improved.
