Tests microbiologiquesIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : Microbiological issues play a central role in the quality assurance of cosmetics. This requires appropriate microbiological expertise and know-how. In addition to microbiological training, this microbiological expertise can also be acquired through professional experience, literature, further training and seminars. Basic microbiological knowledge is most helpful.
On the homepage of the DGK (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Kosmetik) you can find two new documents from the group "Microbiology and Industrial Hygiene", which provide valuable assistance regarding the microbiological safety and harmlessness of your products (https://web.dgk-ev.de/publikationen-fg2/).
The basic requirements for microbiological testing are explained in one of the documents in the form of answers to individual questions.
If you have more questions, please do not hesitate to send them to Mrs. Joelle Nussbaum (joelle.nussbaum@bav-institut.de). The topics will be discussed an answered by the working group of the DGK.Note de contenu : - Why do basic requirements for the performance of microbiological tests of cosmetics have to be fulfilled ?

Vitamine EIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : Vegetable oils are frequently used as valuable raw materials in a wide variety of cosmetic products. The oils are said to have positive effects on the skin surface and to strengthen the skin barrier. Furthermore, they counteract excessive moisture loss from the skin.
The decisive factor in the use of vegetable oils as cosmetic raw materials is their purity and impeccable quality. Specific quality and testing parameters are used to ensure quality and safety. This also serves to comply with the requirements of Regulation (EC) 1223/2009. Furthermore, a reproducible manufacturing process is crucial in order to achieve consistent qualities.
As part of a project, a total of 18 vegetable cosmetic oils (15 different oils) were specified more precisely with regard to the fatty acid spectrum, tocopherol distribution and phytosterols. Sometimes “exotic” oils or oils that are rarely used (e.g. pomegranate seed oil) are also included. The data provide a comprehensive overview of authenticity and the ingredients of the vegetable oils studied.
It must be taken into account that these analytical values may vary depending on provenance, cultivation, production, processing, etc.. Likewise, usual analytical measurement uncertainties must be taken into account when interpreting these data.Note de contenu : - Analytical methods and examination procedures

Ingrédients cosmétiquesIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : Labelling and advertising of cosmetic products are comprehensively regulated in the European Cosmetics Regulation 1223/2009 in conjunction with the “Claims Regulation” VO (EU) 655/2013.
The protection of the consumer from being misled by advertising claims of a cosmetic product is essential in the regulations. Misleading advertising in cosmetics may result from the use of only traces of certain ingredients whose efficacy is generally known to consumers and which are intensively advertised on the product, in the media or on the internet.En ligne : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1b-f5GuI6ZOVhl48bKfCTXVB0PQZC8eu0/view?usp=drive [...] Format de la ressource électronique : Permalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=36557

Tests microbiologiquesIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : Cosmetic products must be safe and harmless to health from the time they are placed on the market until they are used by the customer. The European Cosmetics Regulation (EC) 1223/2009 sets the legal framework for this. This health safety also includes the microbiological quality of a product. The ISO 17516 as the state of the art specifies limit values for this.
This article should help you to interpret microbiological test results of cosmetic products and to be able to react accordingly in case of a positive result.Note de contenu : - Introduction

TerminologieIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : Organic and natural cosmetics are more popular than ever before. ln 2015 alone, the natural cosmetics market grew by 10% ; this represents a disproportionately high growth compared to the overall cosmetics market (1.5%). However, the term "natural cosmetics" is not legally defined and there is an overlapping with adjacent fields. "Natural cosmetics" are, for instance, frequently equated with "vegan cosmetics", but not every natural cosmetic product is vegan and not every vegan product is also a natural cosmetic product.
In order to protect consumer interests and to have a clear delimitation to the adjoining fields, many standards under private law for organic and natural cosmetics have established themselves on the international market based on different criteria. Moreover, there are also individual governmental guidelines and recommendations, such as the Austrian Food Code.
In order to provide ail interested circles with an orientation and an overview of the many different standards, the status quo of the core statements in the natural cosmetics standards have been summed up below. In this connection the fundamental criteria for cosmetic formulations are stated which encompass at least these standards and which, therefore, correspond to the general consumer expectations in respect of natural and organic cosmetics in Europe.Note de contenu : - Raw materials/processes
