Tannage Résumé : In this study, 27Al NMR was applied to gain information about the composition distributions and the structures of organic acid masked aluminum complexes in tanning solutions. The result indicated that in the pH range of aluminum tanning condition, three classes of organic acid masked aluminum complexes were found, i.e.: mononuclear complexes, linear polymeric complexes containing 2 - 4 Al3+ and "Al13 like" complexes. The predominated species was the "Al13 like" complexes, with more than 70% of the Al3+ in this state when the solution pH was ≥ 3.5. "Al13 like" complexes have a stiff spherically symmetrical structure (e-Keggin structure), consisting of one central [AlO4]5- tetrahedron, and surrounded with 9 - 30 octahedral aluminum complexes sharing edges. The diameter of a "Al13 like" complex is about 8 - 16 A. The understanding about the special structure of "Al13 like" complexes gives a rational explanation as to why in organic acid masked aluminum complex solutions, most of the added organic acid anions were in "free" state. The results of this study provide a basis for better understanding the mechanism of aluminum tannage or aluminum combination tannage with other tanning agents.. SurfactantsIndex. décimale : 668.1 Agents tensioactifs : savons, détergents Résumé : The phase behavior and the influencing factors of middle phase microemulsions prepared from surfactant-like ionic liquid 1-alkyl-3-methylimidazolium bromide (C12mimBr, C14mimBr and C16mimBr) were studied systematically with Winsor-type phase diagrams. The minimum alcohol content needed to form the middle phase microemulsion, the alcohol width (the range of the alcohol concentrations from forming to disappearing of the middle-phase microemulsion)) and the percent volume of the optimal middle phase at the midpoint of the middle phase region were obtained from the phase diagrams. It was found that with the increase in the carbon chain length of CnmimBr molecules, the minimum alcohol content and the alcohol width decrease, and the solubilization ability (the percent volume of the middle phase microemulsion) increases. With the increases, and the alcohol width increases at first and then decreases, and the solubilization ability increases, with the increase in the carbon chain length of the alcohols, the decrease in the carbon chain length of the oils, and the increase in NaCl contents. ProtéinesIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Inspired by the hydration capability of hydrogel materials, cross-linked poly(N-acryloylmorpholine) (PACMO) chains were designed into poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) backbones to synthesize the copolymers (PVDF-g-PACMO) using the radical polymerization method. These copolymers were then cast into the porous membranes via immersion phase inversion. The effects of N,N?-methylenebisacrylamide (MBAA) in the reaction solution on the structure and performance of as-prepared copolymer membranes were evaluated by elemental analysis, X-ray photoelectronic spectroscopy, field emission scanning electron microscopy, water contact angle measurement, protein adsorption and filtration experiment. The grafting degree of PACMO increases with the increase of MBAA amount in the reaction solution, which endows the copolymer membrane with a good hydrophilicity. The protein adsorption and irreversible membrane fouling decrease and then further increase with the elevated grafting degree of PACMO. This result indicates that the anti-fouling property of membrane not only depends on the surface hydrophilicity and but also associates with the grafting structures of PACMO. This work provides a fundamental understanding of various grafting structures governing the performance of anti-fouling properties.
les polyoléfines thermoplastiques semi-cristallines : polyéthylène (PE), polypropylène (PP), polyméthylpentène (PMP), polybutène-1 (PB-1) ;

Stabilité thermiqueIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : A polyphosphonate (PDPA) flame retardant that contains phenyl phosphonic dichloride and 9,10-dihydro-9-oxa-10-phosphaphenanthrene-10-oxide groups, has been synthesized. The flame retardant was introduced into epoxy resins (EP) and cured by 4,4’-diamino diphenylmethane. The vertical burning, limited-oxygen index and cone calorimeter tests reveal that the PDPA can enhance the flame-retardant properties of the EP significantly. With only a 4 wt% PDPA loading, the EP composites achieved a limited-oxygen index value of 33.4% and a V-0 rating in the vertical burning test, and the peak heat release rate and total heat release were decreased by 40.9% and 24.6%, respectively. The thermal properties and gas pyrolysis products of the EP composites were evaluated by thermogravimetric analysis and thermogravimetric analysis-Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, and the morphology and structure of residual char were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, Flourier transform infrared spectroscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. To explain the combined effects of the condensed and gas phases, modes of the flame-retardant action are proposed.
