Traîtements de surfaceIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Pre-treatment of CFRP is essential for structural or ageing-resistant adhesive joints. Laser technology makes it possible to remove release agents/contaminants without damaging the joints, thus utilizing the full potential of adhesive joints while overcoming the disadvantages of conventional pre-treatments. Mesures optiquesIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Carbon fiber-reinforced plastics (CFRP) are being used in more and more components. Their production is also becoming more and more effective. In the event of damage, however, business continues to be carried out ‧manually. For this reason, greater automation is desirable when repairing CFRP. Automated laser processes could be one way of doing this. Note de contenu : - Short laser pulses protect material

Résistance thermiqueIndex. décimale : 668.3 Adhésifs et produits semblables Résumé : Through the development of its new polyurethane matrix resin, Loctite MAX 3, Henkel has taken a further important step toward fully automated series production of composite components for the auto-motive industry. In collaboration with KraussMaffei, Henkel — the world market leader for adhesives, sealants and surface treatment technologies — has developed a process for the manufacture of components based on glass or carbon fibre and using high-pressure RTM (HP-RTM) technology that creates a surface quality good enough for auto-motive exteriors. Using a model of the light, high-strength carbon fibre roof segment of the Roding Roadster R I , this innovative production process was presented at 'K', the world's most important trade fair for the plastics and rubber industries, which took place last October in Düsseldorf. Simulation par ordinateurIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : The purpose of this research is to develop structural health monitoring technology based on the strain mapping of composite ariframe structures through their life cycles. We conducted the evaluation tests for damage detection in CFRP pressure bulkheads using fibers Braggs grating (FBG) sensors and verified the dammage detection ability and accuracy of FBG sensors on various modes of damages and deformation. As a result, damages and deformation can be detected as the changes in strain distribution measured by FBG sensors. Moreover, these changes agree well with numerical simulation. These results demonstrate that the strain mapping by FBG sensors can be used for damage detection of the CFRP pressure bulkhead.
