Langues : Américain (ame) Index. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : This work summarizes the influence exerted on cross-linking of protein hydrolyzate obtained through enzymatic hydrolysis of chrome-tanned leather shavings, by means of diepoxides (1,2:3,4 diepoxybutane and 1,2:7,8 diepoxyoctane). Attention was given to preparation of cross-linked samples, their solubility, intrinsic viscosity and IR spectra. Suitable conditions for cross-linking were found at pH = 9 and 25˚ C temperature. Solubility of samples decreased proportionately with increasing concentrations of cross-linking agent. Viscosity measurements yielded best results in 1M KCl solution. Determining intrinsic viscosity indices proved this value was influenced more by the approach of the gelation point than by the epoxide content. IR spectra demonstrated that in the region of wave numbers 838, 912 and 1,250 cm-1, peaks of epoxide groups of employed pure cross-linking agents coincide with similar peaks of other groups of cross-linked samples; peaks of epoxide bonds at the mentioned wave numbers are discernible only with highest employed concentrations of cross-linking agents. Future research will address examining various epoxy groups, employing di- or multifunctional amines and determining critical gelation conversions and critical stoichiometric ratios of defined substances.
Son objectif est de produire des biens et services tout en limitant fortement la consommation et le gaspillage des matières premières, et des sources d'énergies non renouvelables ;

ProductionIndex. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : Due to its economic and environmental importance, the leather production chain has received much attention from researchers and intergovernmental organisations in recent years. However, the academic literature has not yet debated how the circuler economy (CE) can contribute to the life cycle of leather. This work advances this theme through a systematic review and content analysis to identify and analyse the CE principles and initiatives that contribute to a reduction in the potentiel environmental impacts of the leather life cycle. Among its main contributions, this work discusses the environmental impacts of the leather production life cycle, presents potentiel relationships between the leather production phases and CE, and proposes an integrative framework for CE and the leather life cycle.

Wet-blue (tannage)Peau tannée au chrome (le chrome donne une couleur bleue)Index. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : To inhibit the microbial growth on tanned leathers including wetblue, crust leathers, finished leathers and their goods (shoes, garments, bags, etc.), fungicides are usually applied during various leather-making processes. Under the situation of increasingly strict environmental legislation, all kinds of ecofriendly fungicides were explored recently to replace the currently used noxious ones in leather industry. Meanwhile, a nontraditional new type of leather, called antimicrobial function leather, attracted more and more attention from leather chemists and technologists, because of its tempting antimicrobial protection provided and wide application prospects in many fields such as medical materials, health products, daily products, public transport vehicles, and so on. Based on the literatures published in the past decade, especially in the past five years, this review systematically and comprehensively summarizes current status and development trend about leather fungicides and antimicrobial function leather. The discussed antimicrobials contain traditional organic synthetic fungicides with small molecular weight, natural essential oils, macromolecular polymers and chitosan derivatives, and nano-inorganic antimicrobials (nanosilver, nano-ZnO, nano-TiO2, nano-SiO2, etc.). Finally, several proposals are addressed for the development of new leather fungicides and antimicrobial function leather, and especially, a new viewpoint, in which the antimicrobial leather is prepared based on various tanning mechanisms, is demonstrably presented to solve the problem of loose combination between antimicrobial substances and leather fibers.
