Thèses et écrits académiquesIndex. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : Pendant un an, à dater du 23 août 1982, des peaux fraîches de veaux et de moutons ont été examinées à l'aide d'une loupe binoculaire immédiatement après la dépouille, à l'abattoir de Lyon-Corbas.
Après constatation de la présence de poux et de gales, des peaux parasitées ont été choisies. Les arthropodes et les échantillons prélevés sur ces peaux au cours de différentes opérations de tannage ont été observés au Microscope Electronique à Balayage (M.E.B.).
Pour chaque espèce, veau et mouton, on a étudié la structure de la peau normale et celle du cuir obtenu à partir d'une peau saine. Des anomalies sur les peausseries telles que mauvais épilage (veau et mouton) et déchaulage insuffisant (mouton) ont été mises en évidence, soulignant l'influence des traitements de fabrication sur la nature des structures. La présence de calcium a été confirmée par le spectre de rayons X.
Les observations réalisées au M.E.B. ont permis la détermination de poux Damalinia bovis et ovis, et Linognathus vituli ; de gale Psoropte ovis et d'un Tyrophagus. L'impact de la présence des parasites se traduit par des modifications de structures, peu ou non significatives en surface pour les poux, et par une altération très nette en surface et en profondeur pour la gale. On remarque en particulier, grâce à un fort grossissement au M.E.B., la présence d'excroissances collagéniques sur le dessus des parties atteintes. Ces proliférations ne sont pas spécifiques à l'une ou à l'autre parasitose ; selon d'autres chercheurs elles seraient consécutives à toute irritation prolongée de la peau vivante.
Les altérations sur les peausseries sont localisées dans les mêmes régions topographiques que les zones d'infestation sur la dépouille et entraînent des réfactions dans le classement en tannerie-mégisserie. En particulier, une infestation massive de gale sur la dépouille conduit à la mise au rebut du cuir obtenu.Note de contenu : I.
