Cuir d'ameublementIndex. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : In the scope of upholstery leather emission evaluation various test specifications on the basis of test chamber examinations are implemented requiring an ambient air concentration hygienic assessment after 3 and 28 days conditioning periods. The quantified VOC test chamber concentrations are compared with defined target values. With increasing frequency, tanneries and the leather processing industry force test institutes into the approach to generate valid ratings of potential contaminant loads by applying short-terra evaluations.
Both the arrangement of an expressive pool of measured data on upholstery leathers and proficiency of measuring time-point related VOC frequency scales and their reciprocal dependences (interdependency) should enable an estimation approach : On the basis of quantified TVOC (Total VOC) and single compound concentrations measured at time-point t1 = 3d a prediction on a derivable probability can be drawn to which extent leather samples may comply with the threshold limits defined for the prolonged evaluation reading point t2 = 28d. The software condition was set with 99 Amber force field, free boundary and Canonical ensemble (NVT), the time step as 1 femtosecond. The simulation indicates that the spatial conformation changes with rising temperature. The stability of collagen decreases and the spatial configuration deviation from the native conformation increases when the temperature rises. The structure of collagen I tends to be looser as the temperature increases and the contacts between protein molecules fall. The simulation also shows that, the more contacts between molecules, the better stability of the structure and the lower molecule activity. The decline of intermolecular hydrogen causes the decline of collagen I stability. In this paper, the thermal stability of natural leather was analyzed from the microscopic view which is helpful for understanding the changes of leather proteinis performance under high temperature. LaccasesLes laccases (EC 1.10.3.2) appartiennent à une famille d'enzymes ayant pour cofacteur du cuivre. C'est une oxydase (oxydoréductase, EC 1) que l'on retrouve dans de nombreuses plantes, champignons et micro-organismes.
Le cuivre est lié sur plusieurs sites de la protéine. On distingue trois types. Les types 2 et 3 sont appelés grappe tri-nucléaire. Le cuivre du type 1 est soluble dans l'eau. Le mercure déplace le cobalt complexé dans les laccases. Les complexants du cuivre peuvent le déplacer et le remplacer par du cobalt. Les cyanures complexent également le cuivre, mais dans ce cas il n'est pas possible de réinsérer du cobalt.
Les laccases oxydent les dérivés phénoliques mais d'une façon ménagée qui transforme la lignine en monolignol.

By comparing their balling performance and the mechanical strength, the optimal immobilized carrier was determined. The feasibility of the immobilized Panus conchatus for decoloration of fur dye industrial wastewater was studied. The results show that the immobilized bio-balls have the higher dye decoloring speed and rate than those of the free Panus conchatus. The immobilized prepared by PVA complex embedding method have the better comprehensive performances so as to shorten the decoloring time and increase the decoloring rate. The decoloring rates of the immobilized bio-balls to the acid dyes and the disperse dyes are 98.09% and 91.47% respectively. TannageIndex. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : A method for assessing safety in use of leathers by using a living organism — bioindicator fs proposed. lt has been assumed that extracts obtained from Ieathers containing harmful chemical substances cause disturbances in vital functions of the bioindicator that transforrns into changes in heat emission from cens. An affect of extracts on the bioindicator was observed by using an isothermal calorimeter. The activity of Tetrahymena pyriformis was illustrated with heat power curves. It has been found that power curves were specific to Individuel extracts used and different from the curves determined from investigation of bioindicator activity in water. An analysis of heat power value clusters was made and allowed similar bioindicator's responses to water and individuel extracts to be indicated. An indicator enabling leathers with a possible adverse affect on living organisms to be eliminated. This indicator is defined as the ratio of the total heat emitted by the tested system to the control system expressed as percentage. At different processing time points, the nitrogen concentrations for the total nitrogen, ammonia, Kjeldahl nitrogen, nitrate, and nitrite were determined. Furthermore, a computer simulation was performed to derive the experience dynamic equations.
The established dynamic equations can be used to predict the removal capacity of the total nitrogen, ammonia, Kjeldahl nitrogen, nitrate, and nitrite in the tannery wastewater treated with the biofloccufant, calculate the optimum processing time, and cut costs. La trypsine, la papaïne, la pepsine, la chymotrypsine, la plasmine, la subtilisine... sont capables de couper une protéine, chaque enzyme étant spécifique de certains sites particuliers de cette protéine. C'est ainsi, par exemple, qu'une immunoglobuline G est découpée par la papaïne en un fragment Fc et deux fragments Fab, comme l'a montré Porter en 1959.

Microscopie électronique à balayageIndex. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : The use of enzymes in the leather industry in the beamhouse area to partially replace sulfide, can reduce to almost 50% the H2S emission. In this enzyme treatment proteolysis needs to be controlled to prevent the extension of activity to collagen. Collagen must keep its optimal conditions for the tannage process and to give high quality leather. In this sense it is necessary to characterize the enzyme from the physicochemical point of view and to study the morphological changes produced in bovine skin to control its action. An enzymatic pool of geophilic strain Trichophyton ajelloi cultured in solid media was characterized. Azocaseinolytic and keratinolytic activity was determined under different conditions. The enzymatic pool showed tolerance to high T°, optimal pH9 in bath substrates, partial inhibition in concentrations 0.1M, 0.01M and 0.001 M from metallic salts (Ca Cl2, BaCl2, KCl, CuSO4), activation by NaCl, reducing agents as Na2S03, Na2S, L-cystein hydrochloride monohydrate, thioglycolic acid and commercial anionic and non-ionic surfactants (SDS, isogràs AN, Triton, Baymol, Azymol). Inactivation exerted by. PMSF showed a serine-protease as a component of the pool (MEROPS system). When the enzymatic pool was applied for 24-48 hours under optimal conditions on bovine skin pieces, a depilatory affect was observed. The changes in the bovine skin morphology were observed by SEM, alter fixation in formaldehyde and dehydration with alcohol as part of a tentative protocol for bovine skin analysis by SEM (Scanning Electron Microscopy). ViscositéIndex. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : Fatliquors are involved in leather making process to separate fibres of leather from each other and impart soft hand feeling. Fatliquors are chemically modifications of vegetable and animal oils. Castor oil is suitable as a basic raw material for the preparation of fatliquor due to hydroxyl functionality on ricinoleic acid. In this paper, castor ail based synthetic fatliquors were synthesised by two step processes. In a first step castor oil is condensed with maleic anhydride at varying mole ratio from 1 to 3. In the second step castor maleic adduct was sulphited with sodium metabisulphite at varying mole ratios from zero to 1.5. Solubility behaviour with viscosity changes were observed at différent mole ratios of reactants. Structural changes in synthetic fatliquors were studied by FTIR spectroscopy.
Fatliquoring properties at the stabilised fatliquors were comparatively evaluated on goat crust leather. Comparative analysis at leather softness, lear and tensile strengths, elongation at break, light fastness and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) of the fatliquored feathers were studied and comparatively better results were found in leather using the synthetic fatliquor which was synthesised at optimal conditions of castor ail to maleic anhydride mole ratio of 1:1.5 and further sulphitation of the castor maleic adduct with sodium metabisulphite at a mole ratio of 1.Note de contenu : - EXPERIMENTAL PROCEDURES : Chemicals - Apparatus - Preparation of sulphited castor maleic condensate based synthetic fatliquor

Tannage Résumé : Tanneries' solid waste is usually disposed of in landfills where uncontrolled conditions that cause environmental problems such as gas emissions and leachate leak to groundwater. This study aimed to evaluate the mass reduction of tanneries solid waste treated by biodegradation. The essays were prepared in bench bioreactors where the two main tannery solid wastes were added sludge from tannery wastewater treatment plant and wet-blue leather shaving. Biogas production was monitored. The solid waste mass was measured along biodegradation through destructive testing. As results, the mass reduction increased with the degradation lime. The maximum mass reduction was practically already reached the first opening (15th day), arriving to 19.74%, slightly below the last measure, which achieved 21.76% reduction.
