The results were compared with a printing test to find the relationship between printability and the rheological properties of inks. It was found that the ink with good printability had relatively low zero shear viscosity, η0, high infinite shear viscosity η∞ and moderate thixotropy with high stress in the high shear range of the rheogrom. Furthermore, the storage modulus was found to be larger and the low activation energy should be smaller for good inks. Note de contenu : - INKS SAMPLES AND EXPERIMENTAL METHOD

Langues : Anglais (eng) Tags : 'Pâte papier' Fabrication 'Vieux Désencrage Encre Index. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : The pressures to recycle paper waste are great and are likely to increase. The search continues for better methods of de-inking, dispersing and collecting inks during fibre reclamation. Meanwhile new printing technologies are bringing new inks and presenting new challenges to the recycling technologist. The development and application of chemicals to overcome de-inking problems increase running costs. The development and addition of new plant increase capital costs ; these must be paid for. Additional chemical and mechanical operations degrade the fibre and reduce the number of times it may be recycled. No solution is perfect. However, perhaps costs could be reduced and the job of the recycling technologist mode easier if collaboration with ink manufacturers devising new ink formulations was made the norm. Such polyols can be used in 2-component polyurethane (or repair points with a VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) less than 3.5 (pounds per gallons). Using the theory of branching processes, the extent of reaction at gel, gel times and molecular weight buildup during reaction with a trifunctional polyisocyanate can be calculated as a function of the functionality of the oligomer. This paper discusses those theoretical predictions and compares the results with the crosslinking behaviour of star and dendritic oligomers and blends in a 3.5 VOC compliant refinishing clear coat.
