Résumé : |
With the advent of new high solids, low-VOC technology, the coating formulator is presented with a whole new group of variables that can literally affect the end quality of the coating. As more and more of the current coating raw materials (including vehicles and solvents) become environmentally unacceptable and are replaced by new high-technology materials that exhibit poorer wetting properties, the proper choice and utilization of dispersants have become critical. It is the purpose of this paper to present an amhoteric dispersant taht has been shown in laboratory evaluations and actual field trials to provide superior pigment and wetting characteristics, while not adversely affecting the important physical properties of the finished coating such as gloss, color, viscosity, jetness, and tint strength. |
