Résumé : |
Micronised synthetic silicas are widely used to create matt effects in surface coatings of all kinds. Their unique physical properties make them ideally suited to the purpose of creating the microroughness necessary for gloss reduction and stable under a wide range of processing conditions. At the same time, their chemical nature renders them compatible with all coatings materials.
The most recent developments in silica gel technology are described and the features and benefits of the resulting products, which provide controllable and reproducible performance in a wide variety of coating systems, are highlighted. |
