Spectroscopie RamanIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : In the present investigation, a polyacrylamide (PAM) – graphene oxide (GO)-single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) composite has been prepared through a cost effective solution cast method and physical properties (electrical and mechanical) measurements have been carried out. The GO sheets contain oxygen functional groups which enhance the interfacial adhesion with the polymer matrix, while the SWNTs act as wires joining the GO together in the composite matrix. This interconnected network creates a conducting path, lowering film resistance and improving PAM films’ electrical, mechanical, and thermal properties. Raman study demonstrated that carbon nanofiller (SWNTs, GO) and polymer PAM have good interfacial bonding. The electrical conductivity and mechanical characteristics (hardness and elastic modulus) of these composite films were enhanced at a loading of 15 wt% GO and 15 wt% SWNTs in PAM matrix. Electrical conductivity of GO (15 wt%) – SWNTs (15 wt%)-PAM composite film was found to be 2.8 × 10−2 S/cm, which is five orders of magnitude higher than that of the PAM polymer. In comparison to pure PAM polymer, the elastic modulus and hardness are found to be 1.14 and 65 times higher, respectively. At first, the modified PDMS was synthesized to react with acrylate monomers and participate in free radical polymerization. Then, the modified PDMS was blended with acrylate monomers, and the acrylate-PDMS composite latexes with different formulas were obtained by emulsion polymerization. Because the blending monomers were constrained in the micelle, the two components were interconnected with each other by a covalent bond and the phase compatibility between the two components could be controlled well. Chemical constitution and the morphology of acrylate-PDMS composite latexes were confirmed by using FTIR spectroscopy, TEM, and SEM measurements, respectively. Thermophysics and heat resistance of the dried coatings based on acrylate-PDMS composite latexes were studied using DSC and TGA tests, respectively. Anticorrosion properties of the cured coatings based on acrylate-PDMS composite latexes were confirmed by potentiodynamic polarization test. With low surface tension, good toughness, excellent weather-proof properties, and good high and low temperature stability, the modified PDMS component can improve the performance of the traditional acrylate latex-based waterborne resin effectively, and the prepared acrylate-PDMS composite latexes can be used in heavy-duty anticorrosion applications.

Index. décimale : 667.3 Teinture et impression des tissus Résumé : With 4,4'-diaminostilbene-2,2'-disulfphonic acid, 2,4,6-trichloro-1,3,5-triazine and N,N-dimethyldodecylamine as main raw materials, a stilbene quaternary ammonium salt intermediate was synthesised by condensation and quaternisation reaction under the catalysis of sodium hydroxide, and then reacted with two different amino acids to prepare novel amino acid-stilbene quaternary ammonium salt fluorescent whitening agents. The structures of target compounds were characterized by Fourier Transform–infrared and proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy. Their photophysical properties, whitening performance and firmness in aqueous solution were assessed by means of ultraviolet absorption spectra, fluorescence emission spectra and a cotton fibre application test. The results showed that the two amino acid-stilbene quaternary ammonium salt fluorescent whitening agents had a good whitening effect on cotton fibres and displayed strong acid resistance. Compared with the traditional fluorescent whitening agent C186, their firmness was greatly improved. The anti-bacterial activities against three strains were evaluated in vitro. The results showed that they exhibited significant anti-bacterial activity against the selected strains, and the respective minimum inhibitory concentration values against Candida albicans and Escherichia coli were 16.8 and 8.16 μg/ml.
