PolycarbonatesIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Plastic components are often exposed to different media while in use. This can lead to a massive reduction of the mechanical properties. Previously, the investigation of these changes in mechanical properties via creep curves is associated with a high demand of time. In a recent research project at the IKV, a method was developed which helps to generate creep curves faster and with less testing effort. Note de contenu : - Optimized calibration of the material model
- Creeping of pc under influence of water
- Testing is possible also outside the medium
- Modelled and measured creep curves correspond well
- Fig. 1 : Schematic representation of the approach used for creep curve modelling : The time-temperature shift allows master curves to be generated. These can be used to extrapolate material behavior over the long term
- Fig. 2 : Elastic modulus of PC in water depending on temperature and strain rate: Higher temperatures lead to a reduced Young‘s modulus. It increases with increasing strain rate
- Fig. 3 : Shift of the sub curves and the fit of the corresponding master curve
- Fig. 4 : Comparison between modelled and measured creep curves of PC at a temperature of 60 °C and three different loads: The measured and modelled values agree wellEn ligne : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1DSwINkS4Nei1SOq894zfvjKBMUT3bN27/view?usp=drive [...] Format de la ressource électronique : Permalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=40566

PolypropylèneIndex. décimale : 668.9 Polymères Résumé : The microcellular foamed polypropylene (PP)/mica composites were prepared through chemical microcellular injection to investigate the relationship between the mechanical behavior and the cell size. The mechanical behavior model of the microcellular foams is built based on the elastic stress/strain field. The mechanical behavior of the microcellular composites coincides well with the theoretical model. Under loading the large and non uniform cells are in a state of plane strain, which leads to low tensile and impact strengths, whereas small and uniform cells are in a state of plane stress, which contributes to the transition from brittle to tough fracture behavior in the microcellular PP/mica composite.

Note de contenu : - PHENOMENE DE DELAMINAGE
