The good news is that adhesive and sealant formulators have more choices than ever to help them achieve their goals. The bad news—ironically—is that formulators have more choices than ever to help them achieve their goals. Note de contenu : - Insulated glass sealant development

Soudage par ultrasonsIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Sealing is one of the most critical processes in any packaging line – especially when using recycled or bio-plastics, heat or pressure can become a problem. With an ultrasonic welding device, the process parameters can be precisely controlled in real time. Note de contenu : - International regulations on the recycling content in packaging

Revêtements poudre:Peinture poudreIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : A new method for the synthesis of sustainable and cost-efficient polyester resins for powder coating has been developed by combining the chemical recycling of polymers recovered from post-consumer waste streams with the use of bio-based monomers as building blocks for the polymerisation. Some of these monomers are very specific and brought to the development of materials with unique properties, which cannot be obtained from traditional petrochemicals. Therefore, the casting produced using this new approach presents applicative properties similar to and, in some cases, superior properties, compared with commercial coatings obtained from non-renewable resources. This aspect combined with the sustainable character of the new technology gives important advantages in comparison with conventional resins and opens new possibilities In market segments where the current powder coating has limited applications due to some intrinsic limitations. Produits et matériaux recyclésIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : New engineering thermoplastic compounds with pre-consumer recycled glass fiber content accelerate the transition to circularity. SABIC has entended its offering of custom engineered thermoplastic compounds to sustainable PBT grades with mass balance-certified glass fibre content from post-industrial sources. The new LNP ELCRIN iQ compounds are in keeping with the company's drive towards net zero carbon emissions and circularity. At the same time, they provide drop-in solutions with no compromises in mechanical or thermal properties, impact strength or colourability vs. comparable glass fibre-reinforced virgin materials. Matières plastiques -- Recyclage
Produits et matériaux recyclésIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : The mass of recyclable plastic waste has been growing steadily for years. This is mainly the result of technical advances made in both processing and sorting. At the same time, the recycling targets set by the EU are piling more and more pressure on companies to increase the amount of recycled plastics in their products. This in turn is raising the requirements imposed on the recycled materials themselves. Aside from the nature of the polymer and the previous application, the color of the recycled material is important. Note de contenu : - Monitoring the color profile of the recycled materials
