Résumé : |
Weight saving and design are playing an essential part in automobiles. In a joint project, the companies Fehrer Automotive and Senco (Europe) have developed a lightweight roof module in sandwich construction with a class A surface that fulfills exterior requirements. A thermoformable film with novel hard coating made this possible. |
Note de contenu : |
- Challenges during film development
- Extrusion with integrated coating
- Dual cure with a difference
- Production-accompanying quality inspection
- FIGURES : 1. Film production in cleanroom surroundings. The surface obtainable under these conditions is identical with that of an extruded PMMA surface - 2. Whether the lacquer is hardened sufficiently, is indicated by an acetone test within 5 min. It was developed for production-accompanying quality inspection - 3. Warming the film for the thermoforming equipment in the cleanroom by infrared lamps - 4. A Senotop CM62HC film subsequent to thermoforming. After a short cooling-off, it can be laid in the foaming mold - 5. Laying the thermoformed film in the foaming mold for the roof module - 6. Result of the sun cream test according to VW PV 3964. On the left, PMMA as the reference surface, on the right, to covering with Senotop CM62HC film - 7. The finger nail test according to BMW standard GS 97034-2 indicates a scratch on PMMA and none on the Senotop CM62HC film - 8. Backrest structures made from fiber-reinforced-polyurethane with deep drawn senotop film are another development project of both partners |
