Résumé : |
Corrosion in non ferrous metals can be often seen in day to day life, but it is not as serious as the corrosion in ferrous metals. Some of the metals form a protective layer on corrosion. Examples of corrosion in non ferrous metals are tarnishing of silver in which a black layer is formed on the silver surface. Formation of green layer on copper surface can also be seen. These types of corrosion take place because of water and other environmental effects. in this paper we will discuss about the corrosion of titanium, lead and silver. Titanium is a highly corrosion resistant metal but few forms of corrosion in it have been discussed. In the next part we will discuss about corrosion of aluminium, zinc, copper etc. |
