A low-warpage, flame-retardant PBT-ASA material has been developed for the housings of a battery management unit and two cell monitoring units. Both assemblies have recently been used in the lithium-ion battery systems of a small compact car. The material has low warpage and is flame-retardant. It also offers high chemical resistance, low emissions, and high toughness and stiffness. |

- FIGURES : 1. The PBT-ASA housing for the battery management unit is very flat compact. The component's function is to control the high-voltage current sensor and insulation monitoring unit in batteries for electric and hybrid vahicles - 2. In the housing of the cell monitoring unit, functions are integrated ( such as contact pins), which is why its geometry is very complex, especially along the edges. The material must have low warpage and even shrinkage - 3. Relative tensile stress at break of Pocan AF4130 901510 after storage in battery electrolyte vapor (BASF Selectilyte LP71) at room temperature. Initial value 100% |
