Résumé : |
Bicowhite complex is a sophisticated Bicosome system that works by blocking the main processes involved in the formation of dark spots. The in vitro studies demonstrated that this product is able to decrease melanin content without damaging the skin structure. This effect is explained by the interaction between the innovative Bicosome mechanism and the skin, which allows for adequate delivery and protection of the skin structure. Bicowhite has been proven effective in decreasing skin melanin content even when skin is submitted to UV radiation, which indicates that treatment with this product could a lso be carried out in sunny seasons. The in vivo studies demonstrated that Bicowhite is highly effective and specific in depigmenting dark spots, whitening, brightening, unifying skin tone and also improving the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. The proposed multi-target delivery strategy opens up new possibilities for treatment and resolves some of the most important limitations of whitening treatments, such as lack of active penetration, disruption of skin structures, irritation, non-specificity, seasonality of treatments and, finally, insufficient efficacy. All results considered, we conclude Bicowhite is an effective and advanced whitening/brightening active ingredient to be used in all seasons. |
