ith the successes of the piezo drop on demand technology for ink jet in wide format printing, oil based inks are becoming more and more popular. Higher printing speed and lower maintenance costs are the main reasons. But can these inks be handled safely for man and the environment? Which physical properties of the hydrocarbon fluids are most important for printing speed and quality, as well as workers' safety? As well as these subjects, the presentation will cover basic formulations of oil based inks and compatibility with different papers. |
