Colour fastness of the photoresponsive fabrics to washing, wet cleaning, dry cleaning, rubbing and light was investigated. The CIELAB colour values of the fabrics before and after testing were measured using a reflectance spectrophotometer, and the colour differences were calculated to evaluate the fastness properties. The fabrics had better colour fastness to wet cleaning and washing than to dry cleaning. The fabrics showed higher colour fastness to wet than to dry rubbing. The photoresponsiveness of the fabrics decreased with prolonged exposure time to artificial light due to low photostability of the microcapsules. Teinture -- Fibres textiles synthétiquesIndex. décimale : 667.3 Teinture et impression des tissus Résumé : Alkyl imidazole cationic Gemini surfactants (AICGS) with various alkyl chain lengths were used as retarders for dyeing methylene blue (MB) on polyacrylonitrile (PAN) fabrics, with benzyldimethyldodecylammonium chloride (1227) surfactant as a comparison. The exhaustion (E%) of MB on PAN fabrics was investigated at varying surfactant concentrations and dyeing temperatures. Furthermore, kinetic studies on various retarders and 10‐4‐10 AICGS concentrations were carried out. It was found that the retarding dyeing effect of AICGS is stronger when compared with the 1227 surfactant. Moreover, as surfactant concentration increased or the dyeing temperature decreased, E% was reduced drastically. For kinetic studies, the dyeing rate constant increased with an increase in dyeing temperature and a decrease in 10‐4‐10 AICGS concentration, while half‐dyeing time was reversibly decreased. Langues : Anglais (eng) Index. décimale : 667.3 Teinture et impression des tissus Résumé : The surface polymerising of fluoromonomer on dyed polyester microfibre fabric is investigated. The shade-darkening effect of perfluoropolyester acrylate polymer is discussed by colour yield, reflectance spectrum and the colour differences. The surface polymerising of fluoromonomer on dyed polyester microfibre fabric had an excellent shade-darkening effect. After surface polymerising, the dyed fabrics had no significant effect on washing and wet rubbing fastness. Index. décimale : 667.3 Teinture et impression des tissus Résumé : The derivatives of 3-formyl-2(1H)-quinolones and N-methyl-3-formyl-2-quinolones substituted in the 6-position with either a methyl or a methoxy group were synthesised and evaluated as potential sensors for the detection of thiol amino acids. Their spectroscopy properties, including absorption and emission spectra, fluorescence quantum yields and singlet lifetimes, were examined. The behaviour of the obtained compounds was studied at pH 7.4 in the presence of various amino acids. The results show that these compounds demonstrate a high turn-off fluorescence response and selectivity toward L-cysteine in the presence of other amino acids, and have the potential to act as sensors to L-cysteine.
Structure moléculaireIndex. décimale : 667.3 Teinture et impression des tissus Résumé : 1,2-Dimethyl-3-(5-methylisoxazol-3-yldiazenyl)-1H-indole was obtained by coupling 3-amino-5-methylisoxazole with diazotised 1,2-dimethylindole. It was characterised by proton and carbon nuclear magentic resonance, ultraviolet–visible, infrared and Raman spectra, and the X-ray single crystal diffraction method. On the theoretical side, the molecular geometry, chemical shifts and the fundamental vibrational frequencies were evaluated using density functional theory. Time-dependent density functional theory was used to evaluate the electronic excitation spectra. In addition, the scaled quantum mechanical approach was used to study the total energy distributions of the vibrational modes of the molecule. The results showed that the general agreement between experimental and calculated geometric parameters, chemical shifts and ?max values are good. Excellent agreement was found between the calculated and experimental vibrational frequencies.
