Assessment of hydrophobic and anticorrosion properties of composite silane–zeolite coatings on aluminum substrate / Luigi Calabrese in JOURNAL OF COATINGS TECHNOLOGY AND RESEARCH, Vol. 13, N° 2 (03/2016)
[article]
Titre : Assessment of hydrophobic and anticorrosion properties of composite silane–zeolite coatings on aluminum substrate Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Luigi Calabrese, Auteur ; Lucio Bonaccorsi, Auteur ; Angela Caprì, Auteur ; Edoardo Proverbio, Auteur Année de publication : 2016 Article en page(s) : p. 287-297 Note générale : Bibliogr.

It was observed that silane chains influence the hydrophobic behavior and the electrochemical performances of the zeolite-based composite coating. All composite coatings showed a long-term protection action in 3.5% NaCl solution. The use of silane compounds with long alkyl chain or with bi-hydroxyl groups made it possible to obtain electrochemically stable coating during long immersion time. Best results have been obtained with a multicomponent silane mixture (short and long molecular chains).

Perhaps some might even envision a semi-tropical locale with gentle breezes wafting by. Most (if not all) solar panel installers wish that type of location was the reality. In truth, however, while sunlight is the prime factor in placing solar panels in order to maximize their usefulness as energy receptors, solar installation sites are not always warm and comfortable.
In many instances, solar installations are positioned in harsh climates and difficult locations. Because of this, all the non-solar-cell components have to be tested and found able to withstand conditions ranging from deep frosts to extreme heat, as well as high winds, ice, snow, sleet, rain, and any other type of potentially damaging moisture—even debris impingement. The various elements that make up the finished module must prove to be consistently able to perform, whether in an industrial array or for consumer use.

RhéologieIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : The properties of polyvinyl chloride are adjusted using plasticizers for many applications. Phthalate-free plasticizers can keep pace here with conventional versions containing phthalates in many technical fields. This article demonstrates that based on a comparative study. Note de contenu : - Hardness and volatility
- Fogging behavior and viscosity
- Polymerization and processing
- FIGURES : 1. The comparison of the shore A hardness shows that PETV is most efficient compared to the other test candidates - 2. Volatility of the softeners. Since the additives have a significant influence on the characteristics of PVC, their amount should remain constant during the entire lifespan of the material - 3. Fogging test according to DIN 75201-A on an automotive film (700g/m2, 75 phr). The reflectometer value was determined on a glass plate. Here the phthalate-free plasticizer trioctyl trimellitate (TOTM) was tested in addition - 4. The viscosity comparison shows that the softener DINCH keeps the plastisol constant over a long period of time, and is therefore well suited for delayed processing - 5. The rheology of the three test candidates shows that plastisol formulation with PETV proceeds more quickly and at lower temperatures - 6. The absorption diagram shows the time in which phthalate-free plasticizers are absorbed in suspension PVC
