Sensibilité cutanéeIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : Oatmeal has been used for many centuries as a soothing agent to relieve itch and irritation associated with various dry skin conditions. In 1945, a ready to use colloidal oatmeal, produced by finely grinding the oat and boiling â to extract the colloidal material, became commercially available : Today, colloidal oatmeal is available in various dosage forms from powders for bathing to shampoos, shaving gels, and moisturising creams.
The clinical properties of colloidal oatmeal derive from its chemical composition diversity. The high concentration in starches and g-glucan is responsible for the protective and water-holding functions of oat. The presence of different types of polyphenols confers antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity. The cleansing activity of oat is mostly due to saponins. Its many functional properties make colloidal oatmeal a cleanser, moisturiser, buffer, as well as a soothing and protective anti-inflammatory agent.
This present article profiles the key attributes of colloidal oatmeal and presents data on a new advanced colloidal oatmeal (Oat COM). Oat COM colloidal oatmeal is an advanced colloidal oatmeal due to its structural and chemical composition with marked improvements in oil and water binding capacities.Note de contenu : - Sensitive skin stress and irritation

Stress oxydatifIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : A study published in 2011 conducted on 1,400 randomly selected residents from Queensland aged 20-54 years, reported that 83% of the participants had premature skin ageing, worsening after the age of 30. The conclusion of this study was that premature skin ageing is common. It is associated with sun exposure during leisure or work, and therefore is preventable.
Ultraviolet radiation from the sun has deleterious long-term effects on human skin, leading to premature ageing (photoageing). One of the most obvious acute effects of UV on the skin is the generation reactive oxygen species (ROS) and the induction of inflammation. In the epidermis, UV exposure has dramatic effects on cell cohesion and mechanical integrity of the stratum corneum, compromising the critical barrier function of the skin. Dermal damage induced by ultraviolet radiation is principally manifested histologically as the disorganisation of collagen fibrils. Ultraviolet radiation can induce several types of epidermal injury, including sunburn cell formation.Note de contenu : - SELECTION OF BIOLOGICAL MARKERS : Antioxidant property - prevention oxidative stress (DJ-1/Nrf2) - Anti-inflammatory property (TNF-α) - Barrier function improvement (ZO-1/loricrin) - Extra cellular matrix (ECM) protection (COL synthesis, MMP-1 inhibition) - Nuclear damage reduction

Protection cutanéeIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : Pollution is the introduction of contaminants into the natural environment that endanger human health and/or the environment. It can take the form of chemical substances or energy, such as noise, heat or light.
Pollutants, the components of pollution, can be either foreign substances or energies, or naturally occurring contaminants. From cars and industrial emissions to dust storms, pollen and smoke inside the home, air pollution poses a major threat to our health and the climate. According to the WHO, 90% of us are exposed to it.Note de contenu : - Tests for PM
