Together with the screw manufacturer Ejot, the compound producer Lehvoss has investigated the suitability of 3D printed components for screw connections. Three materials underwent the practical test for this purpose. Note de contenu : - Unreinforced polypropylene attained the customary values in the test
- Better scores for polypropylene with carbon fiber-reinforcement (PP/CF)
- A reliable jointing technique for PA/CF
- High-strength materials across all axes of strain

A water-based ink was prepared from polyacrylate-based thickener. The physical and chemical properties of the polyacrylate-based thickener used for preparing the inkjet printing ink, as well as its printing effects on carpet, were investigated. Before printing, the properties of the ink, including its surface tension, electrolyte resistance, storage stability, and percentage removal, were investigated. After printing, the efficiency of coloration of printed carpet and the fastness of printed carpet were studied. The results concerning the surface tension and percentage removal of printing ink show that the polyacrylate-based thickener printing ink is suitable for nylon carpet inkjet printing. Meanwhile, its storage stability and electrolyte resistance make it suitable for printing. The efficiency of coloration of printed carpet and the fastness of printed carpet satisfy the requirements of application at appropriate ink concentration and viscosity. Note de contenu : - EXPERIMENTAL SETUP : Material - Test specimens - Test procedure

Thermoplastiques -- Propriétés mécaniquesIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : We experimentally establish a plastic and breaking intrinsic stress criterion for welded joints made by laser radiation using the TWISTr configuration. This welding is used in junction of two plastics materials, one laser transparent, one no laser transparent as control panels. Two types of plastic materials have been studied, ABS and PA66 polymers. The yield surface which characterize the limit of elasticity and the rupture surface have been described by a modified Drucker-Prager criterion identified in the case of complex mixed modes state of stresses coupling tensile and shear stresses. The conclusion is that ABS is a good candidate for laser welding application, whereas PA66 presents lower mechanical properties in the welding area. For design purpose of welded zones, the proposed Drucker-Prager criterion has been used for the calculation and the simulation of breaking welded ABS plates and welded PA66 step plates. The comparison between experimental and numerical simulation values shows a relatively good agreement. Note de contenu : - LASER PROCESSING AND BEAM SOURCES DESCRIPTION
