The lines running in the weft and warp directions were printed on polyester fabric constructions, and printing accuracy was assessed. Ink spreading is one of the important factors that influences the ink distribution. Thus, in order to acquire satisfactory ink-jet printing products, it is essential to control the spreading of ink on the polyester fabric. To meet these conditions, a series of chemicals (disperse dye 5.01 wt%, PVP-K30 0-2 wt%, DEG 5-20 wt%, water 64.17-79.17 wt%, etc) with different mass fractions was used to prepare disperse ink. The jetting behaviour of ink was related to its surface tension and viscosity, which was characterised by an automatic surface tensiometer and rotational viscometer. Line profile was used to evaluate the printing effect. Low field nuclear magnetic resonance and three-dimensional super depth digital microscopy were used to reveal the relationships between the state of water, ink diffusion behaviour and printing sharpness. The results showed that increasing ink viscosity or decreasing free water content is advantageous to improve the sharpness of the printing pattern. The effects of fabric structural parameters on line image quality are discussed. The printing quality was closely related to the weight and structure of fabric. The heavy weight fabrics had accurate print pattern sharpness. The fastness test results showed that the ink printing pattern had good colour fastness. PapierIndex. décimale : 667.4 Encres Résumé : Non-impact printing is a process that is wides pread in use and grows daily. Though, in comparison to other printing processes, it is relatively immature, the rapid growth in popularity it has demonstrated over recent years has allowed it to reach into both the industrial and office environments.
This report discusses the wide format sector of the digital printing processes available today, in particular inkjet. 'Wide format' can be considered to comprise print widths from 24' to 60', therefore other inkjet sectors such as small office/home office (SOHO) desktop printing (perhaps the process we are most familiar with) dominated by the likes of Hewlett Packard and Canon, and industrial coding and marking will be discussed only briefly.
It is woth mentioning that wide format printing is frequently viewed from a distance unlike document printing from a Xeikon for example, and so the relative print quality is often lower - a five metre print from an airbrush machine can be as low as 12 dpi but perfectly acceptable as a vinyl print on the side of a vehicle. Its durability in a truck wash and 5 years out in the elements are the most important factors.Note de contenu : - INKJET INTERACTION : The media - The printing press - The print head

SérigraphieIndex. décimale : 667.4 Encres Résumé : Why the wide format printing techniques are growing rapidly ?
Since inkjet printing and digital printing have been introduced to a wider audience, wide-format inkjet printing techniques started growing rapidly. They are suitable to cover the customer needs for personalisation and increasingly faster cycle times. Digital inkjet business has become mainstream.
A newer application is the printing of photographs made with digital cameras using inkjet inks. It is estimated that by 2009 more than 5000 wide-format flatbed printers will be set up for graphics applications. Developments face increasing speed, quality, and resolution. In this process the diameter of the nozzles decreased from 30µm to 8µm, and smaller. This also requires a higher quality of pigments, which particularly means smaller particles, as well as lower ink viscosity.
It is expected that inkjet will become a major part of the printing industry because of its advantages over current technologies : flexibility and economic efficiency for small runs. The target market is screen printing.Note de contenu : - Market overview
