Résonance magnétique nucléaireIndex. décimale : 668.9 Polymères Résumé : In this study, a styrene/isoprene/styrene (SIS) triblock copolymer was synthesized in an intermeshing, co-rotating, twin-screw extruder. N-butyl lithium was used as the initiator. The styrene and isoprene monomer as well as 1,2-dibromoethane were sequentially added into the extruder. The weight content of isoprene in this copolymer was above 60%. Gel permeation chromatography (GPC) results showed that the polystyrene in the copolymer chains was mainly comprised of only one long block. Dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) showed that the polystyrene phase transferred from larger numbers of small microdomains to a continuous aggregation after the coupling reaction. As a result, the tensile stress and ultimate elongation was significantly improved, similar to the commercial product. Traditionally, SIS has only been synthesized by solution polymerization. The present work offers the capacity to synthesize it with very little or no solvent. This method fits the environmentally friendly trend. PolypropylèneIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Low assembly effort, often shorter production times and lower-cost parts production overall are the reasons why 2-component injection molding is often used in hard-soft material combinations, including in the production of seals, cable bushings and handles. If the core-back process is to be used for production, however, mold structure and hot runner system design will pose a challenge. Note de contenu : - Advantage 2-component - when it is done properly
- Bottleneck between the two components
- Two materials - one manifold block
- Core-back combined with ejector function
- Hot runner and mold expertise required
- Fig. 1 : The various cable bushinsgs with the TPE/PP material combination were injected in a family mold
- Fig. 2 : The cable bushing has to fulfil a comprehensive property profile, which has an obvious effect on product design and therefore also on the mold design
- Fig. 3 : Themold was designed as a family mold. The unusual order also posed a challenge, since "soft" (TPE) had to be injected before "hard" (PP)
- Fig. 4 : In order to achieve a flat height on the "hot half", both manifold systems were housed in a manifold block
- Fig. 5 : The front-mounted nozzles present the advantage that they have a closed sealing ring at the nozzle head. This design creates a barrier between the manifold and the nozzle cabling and thus offer the highest level of safety when it comes to the seal in the systemEn ligne : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-jRl1Va__gLvHZ03aGODnzKz1LfcisDi/view?usp=drive [...] Format de la ressource électronique : Permalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=32141

Matériaux hybridesIndex. décimale : 668.9 Polymères Résumé : Thermoplastic elastomer nanocomposites (TPE nanocomposites) based on PA6/ NBR/Cloisite 30B were prepared through a direct melt mixing process in an internal mixer. The effects of NBR content (10, 30 and 50 wt.%) and nanoclay loading (3, 5 and 7 wt.%) on morphology and mechanical properties of the nanocomposites have been studied and compared with unfilled PA6/NBR blends as well. The TPE nanocomposites were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) and mechanical properties. XRD results suggested that the nanoclay is exfoliated into the TPE nanocomposite matrix. TEM image of the PA6/NBR/nanoclay composite showed partial exfoliated structure of silicate layers dispersed through the both NBR and PA6 phases. The SEM photomicrograph of PA6/NBR nanocomposite showed an increasing of the rubber particles size in comparison with unfilled PA6/NBR TPE. By presence of nanoclay, improved modulus of the prepared TPE nanocomposites was achieved. DSC studies showed that loading of the nanoclay reduced the degree of crystallinity of the nanocomposite samples.
