VerreIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : This is a very revolutionary idea as GLASS FLAKES used as barrier for Water Vapors. Till now we were using only corrosion inhibiting pigments like MIO, Zinc Chromate/ Phosphate etc. As we want to prevent corrosion here we are using Glass Flakes which are acid and alkali proof and low at cost. Therefore, it gives excellent protection on corrosion. Note de contenu : This is a very revolutionary idea as GLASS FLAKES used as barrier for Water Vapors. VerreIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Transparent functional and design elements often consist of glass and plastic materials. But there may be problems in bonding them using adhesives or adhesion promoters, since adhesives only have limited aging resistance and glass is usually not easily wetted. High-strength hybrid connections are made possible with a two-step process, in which a laser first creates micro- and nanoscale structures in the glass, into which the plastic melt can subsequently penetrate. Note de contenu : - Laser-structuring of glass materials
- Joining with new laser wavelength
- Factors influencing the bond strength
- Laser structuring of a glass sample by means of CO2 laser radiation : the microstructures are introduced into a glass substrate with a thickness of 3 mm at spacings of 1 mm. This is performed by means of a scanner system, which guides the laser beam over the glass substrate in multiple passes at high speed. When the laser beam impinges on it, the material is vaporized ; the ablated particles can be seen as a yellow jet of flame
- Fig. 1 : Glass- plastic hybrid bonds combine the specific advantages of the two material classes. A typical application is a car headlamp, which requires high transparency and shape flexibility
- Fig. 2 : Laser-based manufacture of a glass-plastic bond in two steps : Laser structuring and laser joining
- Fig. 3 : Glass-plastic hybrid bond after joining : the structured glass sample forms a firm bond with the planar sample of polycarbonate. The plastic was irradiated in the region of the microstructures on an area of 10 mm x 20 mm. Due to the high transparency of a the two joint parts, the molten region can hardly be seen with the naked eye
- Fig. 4 : Micrograph of the microstructures : the glass is ablated layer by means of a USP laser beam. Compared to machining by CO laser beam, the high-precision ablation can generate structures with hardly any damage.En ligne : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1tLXMfrHXT0yX1xES0SYw_ZfaaVd9tKHi/view?usp=drive [...] Format de la ressource électronique : Permalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=34717

VerreIndex. décimale : 668.9 Polymères Résumé : Solid particulate fillers usually increase both the Young's modulus and the density of polymers. The incorporation of hollow glass microspheres into polymers enables a better balance between mechanical properties and density, combined with benefits in terms of processing and surface quality. These hollow microspheres are capable of improving the flow characteristics of a polymer in the mould, and reduce mould shrinkage. These properties of hollow microspheres can be well utilized in NBR based rubber compounds, which are used as thermal insulation systems for protection of solid rocket motor case from high temperature combustion gases. Insulators with low density are of immense use in aerospace applications, since they enhance payload capability and reduce mission cost. Attempts are made to reduce density of elastomer compounds by incorporating these hollow glass microspheres. The effects of process conditions, level of microspheres and treatment with liquid polymer on density have been discussed Changes in density of the NBR correlated with extent of the break down of hollow microspheres have been brought out. This article also emphasizes the changes in the mechanical properties and thermal properties in NBR insulation system after the incorporation of these microspheres.
