StratifiésIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Composites offer many advantages in terms of stiffness, weight reduction, corrosion resistance, and fatigue performance. These advantages have led the increase use of these materials in a variety of industries. To fully utilize composites in the most efficient and beneficial manner, design and analysis tools will need to continue to evolue and improve. The industry is making tremendous progress but we are still far away from being able to design composite structures with the same confidence and efficiency as with isotropic materials such as letals or plastics. As wit; a y worthwhile undertaking, the oricess for addressing the challenge will yield improved understanding and new design methods that will benefit the product developement community, leading to better and more sustainable products.
ScandiumIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Skin-stiffened composites have been extensively used in aerospace to produce lightweight structures. Stringer debonding is one of the most critical types of damage in this type of structure. Implementing a self-healing functionality within the bond line would benefit the service life of the component by repairing it when damage occurs. Note de contenu : - Extrinsic and intrinsic sampling

The influence of thin lies on the free-edge finite element analysis. The influence of ply thickness on in-situ strengths is studied using models based on fracture mechanics. The influence on thin plies on low-velocity impact resistance is described using simple analytical models and experimental results. Note de contenu : - Effect on thin plies on the onset of ply damage
