Polymères hautes performancesIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : When printing high-performance polymers such as PEEK, stresses occur in the component due to the relatively high printing temperature and the changes in the material structure. These stresses can lead to microcracking, warping, cracking and ultimately to component failure. In the Smart Printbed project, a system was developed to minimize these influences and also save electrical energy. Note de contenu : - The zone heating system supplies energy only where it is needed
- Design of the smart print bed
- Optimal thermal management requires perfect interaction
- Fig. 1 : The smart printbed can heat, cool and measure temperature. The schematic sketch of the print bed shows the structure, which consists of 25 individual Peltier elements
- Fig. 2 : It all depends on the correct wiring : Only with a bridge circuit can the Peltier elements assume all three operating states (heating, cooling and measuring)En ligne : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1f_paUzdVVUz1Ef5td0LM7XSuc9aDgNVC/view?usp=drive [...] Format de la ressource électronique : Permalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=35741

Polymères en médecineIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Injection Molding - There are good reasons for the drill’s bad reputation, since a visit to the dentist can be painful. Now there is good news for patients: thanks to the properties of a new plastic drill, it selectively removes carious layers while leaving healthy dentine unscathed. The drill is produced ready to use in an integrated process. Note de contenu : - Packaged in a defined orientation in the docked cleanroom

Prototypage rapideIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Interdisciplinary Research - As part of a European-funded study, an interdisciplinary group of companies and research institutes has developed a skull prosthesis made from PEEK material to operational fruition. Laser-sintering is used to create a unique lattice structure that both covers the asymmetrical hole in the deformed cranial bone and provides an ideal platform for osseointegration.

Polyéther éther cétoneIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : After a busy 2015, you could forgive Victrex for thinking this year would be a good chance to take it easy. After all, the British manufacturer of PAEK polymer solutions found its products specified in Bombardier's Learjet and Global aircraft, as well as for the first time in a primary structural component on the Airbus A350 and launched new composites for the aerospace industry.

PolytétrafluoréthylèneIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Due to its high melt viscosity and its melting point of over 327 °C, polytetrafluoroethylene cannot be processed by common thermoplastic processes. However, appropriate modification makes this high-performance plastic workable from the melt, thereby enabling economical large series production. This will be elaborated here on two sealing applications. Note de contenu : - Spring-supported seal
- Sealing lip from PTFE compound
- Combined PTFE and PEEK
- Fig. 1. A spring-supported seal for a ball segment used in an engine cooling water circuit. It is made from modified PTFE, processed by injection molding, and demonstrates the usefulness of this material - for medicinal areas as well
- Fig. 2. This component is instsalled in housing covers in a vehicle engine compartment. It consists of a front cover made from 30% glass-fiber-reinforced polyamide with an encapsulated sealing lip made from a PTFE compound. It also contains a metal insert and is designed for rapid installation.En ligne : https://drive.google.com/file/d/16y-8iwAZ3ngIczllXjg8c4u74nJgTrQB/view?usp=drive [...] Format de la ressource électronique : Permalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=28997
