Temps de cycle (production) -- RéductionIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : New, demanding applications raise the standards that need to be met by plastics. In addition, higher prices for raw materials and electricity translate into additional cost when manufacturing plastic products. Using less expensive off-grade material instead of expensive virgin resin represents one possible remedy. Specific processing aids make this possible. Index. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Blowing agents - The addition of expandable microspheres during thermoplastic processing significantly reduces the weight of components produced in this way. They are characterized by a closed, very fine cell structure that is extremely uniform. In particular, thermoplastic elastomers can be made more easily in this way. Matières plastiques -- AdditifsIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Flame Retardants - Plastics used in building, electrical and electronic engineering or transportation have to satisfy the fire protection demands in the respective segment of industry. Innovations are being made especially in environmentally safe products which contain polymeric or halogen-free flame retardants. The synergistic effect of these additives is also becoming an increasingly important aspect. Note de contenu : - Growing markets for flame retardants

(Wikipedia)Index. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : The stabilizer content in plastic waste varies considerably. This makes re-stabilization of recyclates costly and time-consuming. Online measurement of elongational and shear viscosity is a promising tool to allow stabilization of recycled plastics directly in the compounding process. Note de contenu : - Costly re-stabilization
- Measurement of the process stabilizer content during compounding
- The higher the screw-speed, the higher the degradation
- Suppressing the degradation
