Spectrométrie de masseIndex. décimale : 667.2 Colorants et pigments Résumé : The separation and identification of colourants from aqueous matrices could potentially benefit the coloration industry. In this work, we report a new method that combines hydrophilic interaction liquid chromatography (HILIC) and high-resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS) for reactive dye separation and identification without employing ion-pairing agents. The conditions outlined allowed the successful separation of a mixture of four commercial reactive dyes in an aqueous solution, which consisted of CI Reactive Black 5, CI Reactive Orange 35, CI Reactive Blue 49 and CI Reactive Red 31. To further demonstrate the feasibility of this new method, we conducted deeper research into the analysis of CI Reactive Red 31 and its hydrolysis products. Based on the high efficiency of HILIC for polar compounds, and its combination with HRMS, we were able to identify several isomers of CI Reactive Red 31 and its derivatives, which were further characterised by tandem mass spectrometry. This method could potentially benefit chemical evaluations in dye applications, including synthetic processes, because it provides reliable results and simplified operation conditions compared with common traditional high-performance liquid chromatography methods. Tannage Résumé : In the present work, a comparative study of analytical methods for the simultaneous and quantitative determination of trivalent and hexavalent chromium is presented. For the analysis by ion chromatography-inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry, two different columns were tested, as well as different mobile phases and different pH of the samples. The optimized analytical method permitted the separation of Cr(III) and Cr(VI) using 75 mmol/L NH4NO3 pH 3 as chromatographic eluent. The method was validated and applied to real samples, allowing the determination of both species simultaneously, even when there is a huge difference of concentration between Cr(III) and Cr(VI). Limit of detection and limit of quantification for Cr(III) were found to be 0.016 and 0.054 μg/L (0.3 and 1.1 μg/kg), respectively, and for Cr(VI) 0.13 and 0.43 μg/L (7 and 22 μg/kg), respectively. Possible species interconversions were monitored through the use of chromium isotopic standards, which confirmed that the optimized methodology preserves chromium speciation during extraction and analysis. Fourier-transform ion cyclotron resonance-mass spectrometry permitted the structure elucidation of the complex formed during ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid extraction.
Spectrométrie de masseIndex. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : N-Alkyl-2-pyrrolidones such as N-methyl- and N-ethyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP and NEP) are widely used as solvents in leather finishing agents. However, NMP and NEP were identified as reproductive toxicants. Moreover, NMP has been listed in the Candidate List of Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) by European Chemicals Agency. Herein, we have developed a simple and rapid gas chromatography-mass spectrometry method for the simultaneous determination of NMP and NEP in leather samples. The extraction solvent, methods and time have bean comparatively investigated and optimized for enhancing the extraction efficiency of NMP and NEP in samples. Under optimal extraction and GC-MS conditions, the linear range of both NMP and NEP were between 0.5 and 100mg L-1 with regression coefficients (R2) of 0.999. The Relative standard deviation (R.S.D.) for ten replications of analysis was 2.6% and 2.8% for NMP and NEP, respectively. And limit of detection (LOD) for NMP and NEP were bath 0.1mg/kg. In leather samples the mean recoveries were 94.8%-105.6% and 98.5%-105.2% for NMP and NEP, respectively. The proposed method has been proved to be applicable for the simultaneous determination of the target NMP and NEP in leather samples. Spectrométrie de masseIndex. décimale : 668.1 Agents tensioactifs : savons, détergents Résumé : The interest in biosurfactant has increased considerably due to their large potential for industrial applications. Rhamnolipid is the simplest class of biosurfactants with well defined structure. The main obstacle in commercialization of biosurfactant especially rhamnolipids is the higher cost of the production that can be reduced by use of inexpensive carbon substrates like glycerol that is readily available from commercial fat-splitting process in the form of sweet water (up to 20% w/v) at very low cost. The composition and structure of various components in crude rhamnolipids synthesized by of Pseudomonas aeruginosa (ATCC 10145) on sweet water, were determined using TLC, HPLC and LC\MS. The crude product showed two distinct components having structure Rha2C10C10 and Rha2C10C12 at 85.45 wt.% and 14.55 wt.% respectively. The Rha2C10C10 was more efficient and effective in surface tension reduction up to 23.5 mN/m than other components. Crude rhamnolipids showed better emulsifying power than its individual components. The crude rhamnolipids showed better foam stability than sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) at lower concentrations (0.05 to 0.002% w/v). It also enhanced and stabilized the foam produced by SLS at 0.01 to 0.025% of rhamnolipids. Permalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=11946
