Vieillissement cutané -- PréventionIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : The many environmental factors related to modem lifestyle generate a skin imbalance that leads to premature ageing. In this study, we evaluate the capacity of a new skin delivery system based on bicosomes (named bicosome-xanthin) to provide intense detox and revert the signs of ageing. This system was specially designed to incorporate, stabilise and deliver microalgae extract into deep skin layers. Bicosome¬xanthin proved to be effective in protecting the skin against pollution particles and to prevent 90% of the damage caused by blue light. This extraordinary ingredient also proved in vivo to boost the skin's antioxidant capacity and barrier function, to accelerate epidermal cell renewal, improve skin brightness and firmness, and visibly reduce wrinkles.
Vieillissement cutanéIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : There remain challenges and opportunities to improve the ageing skin as I hope this article has emphasised. I would summarise the achievable goals for non-prescription products as wrinkle reduction, reduction of sebaceous pore diameter, skin smoothing, skin textural improvement of dyspigmentation.
Daily use of effective photoprotective products have been clearly shown to reduce accelerated skin ageing as well as skin cancers and pre-skin cancers.
There are goals that I consider unrealistic and include claims for nonprescription products being able to lift faces, lift and enlarge busts, firm and lift buttocks, cure cellulite, and get rid of enlarged veins and telangiectasia.
At present the technology is not available in my opnion to achieve these goals.
I remain enthusiastic that ongoing collaborative research between dermatologists, dermatologic scientists, skin formulators, cosmetic chemists and marketing specialists will continue to yield benefits for protection, prevention and treatment of ageing skin.Note de contenu : - SKIN REJUVENATION : What are realistic expectations for treatment of ageing skin ? - Role of topicals

Peau -- Soins et hygièneIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : As we are living in a world full of uncertainties, where we are challenged by the coming together of environmental, health and employment crises, mental and physical stresses tend to overwhelm us. These stresses have deleterious effects on human body and especially on skin. They lead to the impairment of cell bioenergetic functions, thus contributing to premature skin aging. To recover serenity, being inspired by Japanese traditions and their Zen aesthetic principles can be a new way to address daily stresses. This paper presents the concept of Zen aesthetics that allowed us to develop several formulations under the beauty concept called “Zenspiration”. Among these formulations, the Energizing Water Cream is dedicated to re-energizing stressed cells. This paper also describes the skin biological benefits provided by an active ingredient called Rootness™ Energize, included in the Energizing Water Cream, and developed thanks to the plant milking technology. This extract from the roots of Luffa cylindrica demonstrated in vitro its ability to protect and stimulate cell bioenergetic functions while stimulating antioxidant defense systems and accelerating the renewal of key extracellular matrix components. A clinical study enrolling stressed women demonstrated that Rootness™ Energize improved skin elasticity and firmness in stressed women, leading to a reduction in wrinkles. Peau -- Soins et hygièneIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : Caressense™ biofunctional is a phytofermented extract from fresh and organic jasmine flowers, inspired by research on the connection between skin and emotions and the ‘chemistry of love'.
It is developed using the power of a novel sustainable and patented extraction technology : phytofermentology™. Its unique signature composition is rich in bioactive phytonutrients, such as flower peptides and polyphenols.
Caressense™ biofunctional can activate the sensors of touch, Piezo1, to release 'feel-good' molecules inside the skin and deliver well-ageing and age-defying benefits. It acts on the skin’s sensory system to liberate positive emotions of feeling well and calmness.
Caressense™ biofunctional delivers skin with age-relaxing, stronger immunity and a healthy glow effect.Note de contenu : - Jasmine, the flower of love
