Matières plastiques dans les automobilesIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Film decoration - Decorative films are increasingly replacing painting in order to flexibly combine a high quality surface finish of the vehicle interior with small batch sizes and low unit costs. With DecoJect, systems integrator Engel presented the next development step in collaboration with partner companies at K 2016 : the combination of injection molding with in-mold graining in a highly-automated roll-to-roll process. The film solution makes it easier to harmonize the vehicle interior when using different base materials. Note de contenu : - Highly integrated and fully automated process

Traitement coronaIndex. décimale : 668.3 Adhésifs et produits semblables Résumé : The recent upsurge of user interest in UV curable adhesives, coupled with an increase in development activity at the adhesive and polymer supplier level, has generated an effort to evaluate this technology in a realworld environment. The Shell Chemical Co. , Houston, has an ongoing development effort involving 100% solid, cationic, UV curable adhesives. In conjunction with their laboratory work, pilot coating studies were undertaken.
When comparing UV curing HMPSA technology with conventional HMPSA technology, certain questions often arise concerning the processing ease and type of equipment necessary for the successful use of these new polymer systems.
In addition, one must address the topics of manufacturing difficulty, speeds achievable, sensitivity to UV dosage, process robustness and reproductibility.Note de contenu : - Equipment

Matières plastiques -- AdditifsIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Salt Containing Films - Novel humidity regulating polymer composite films contain salts such as calcium chloride and sodium chloride as active substances. These reversibly absorb water vapor. Due to that property they can stabilize the relative humidity in their environment. In packaging related applications undesired effects of humidity can be avoided thereby. Note de contenu : - Properties of salts

Souplesse (mécanique)Index. décimale : 668.3 Adhésifs et produits semblables Résumé : Downtime—both planned and unplanned—can have a pronounced impact on packing line efficiency and throughput. This downtime, caused by film roll changes, registration errors, catastrophic film failures, bottlenecks, and more, is costly and may seem impossible to avoid. Taking appropriate steps to streamline processes wherever possible can help to mitigate the repercussions of downtime, improving overall line efficiency and thus profitability.
