PolycarbonatesIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Full-color photopolymer - Until now, materials and processes have been colored holograms in large print runs. This could all change thanks to a new holographic photopolymer. A specially developed polycarbonate film with application-oriented material properties has proved a suitable carrier material for this photopolymer in the high-security holograms sector.
Son objectif est de produire des biens et services tout en limitant fortement la consommation et le gaspillage des matières premières, et des sources d'énergies non renouvelables ;

Matières plastiques -- RecyclageIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : The increasing volume of plastic waste and the growing pollution of the oceans by such waste have brought the sustainable handling of plastic products into the focus of society and politics. Both recycling and bioplastics can be a part of a strategy for greater sustainability, but they are not free of side effects. In order to avoid irrational decisions, it is important to assess their effects comprehensively. Note de contenu : - How can sustainability be comprehensively assessed ?

Protection temporaireIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : Temporary protective coatings may not be designed to last long, but they play a very important role in protecting valuable and easily damaged materials and products during post processing metal fabrication operations, storage, shipment, general handling, and installation in some cases. In fact, they are used on everything from personal electronic products and appliances to brass fixtures and silver-plated housewares to construction materials like piping to automobiles. [article]
Titre : An investigation on usage of sodium borohydride and zinc oxide as oxygen scavengers in polyethylene terephthalate films Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Ilhan Özen, Auteur Année de publication : 2012 Article en page(s) : p. 493-497 Note générale : Bibliogr.

Polyéthylène téréphtalateIndex. décimale : 668.9 Polymères Résumé : The aim of this work is the production and characterisation of a plastic film having active oxygen barrier properties. The films have been obtained by adding an oxygen scavenger (either sodium borohydride (NaBH4) or zinc oxide (ZnO)) into a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) matrix during the extrusion process. In order to investigate the activity of the scavengers used, the produced films have been subjected to permeability measurements. It was revealed that NaBH4 – though a strong reductive agent – didn’t cause any degradation in matrix polymer but served as an ineffective oxygen scavenger as in the case of ZnO.
