Peau -- Soins et hygièneIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : Presently, a significant array of cosmetic ingredients fail to exercise their intended action because they are not able to pass through the stratum corneum and epidermis. A good example may be the use of ingredients designed to promote collagen generation by fibroblasts that never act as expected, since they are not able to reach the dermis where fibroblasts are located. Hence, the in vitro testing results never become a reality. In the search of new levels of efficacy, to bring ingredients under the stratum corneum has always been a necessity in dermocosmetology, to reach the deep layers of the skin without the need for injectables and avoid the risk of becoming systemic, suitable for the cosmetic industry.
BioDan's thorough knowledge of skin generation, epithelial modelling and 3D bioprinted skin has allowed the development of a new generation of nanocarriers capable of delivering ingredients without the need for injectables deep into the skin's dermis and epidermis, trespassing the stratum corneum, and capable of modulating their penetration capabilities. The new nanocarriers are at least twice as deformable as previous technologies, built with 100% vegetable structures, 100% clean and made with no use of parabens, synthetic chemicals and non-covalent technologies. Extremely biocompatible and biodegradable, Biodan's nanotechnological platform is made of GRAS-listed or organic naturel compounds and tailored with a customised composition to the needs of each individual ingredient.
Biodan's new nanostructures are based on the use of new ultradeformable design principles on traditional architectures, such as nanoparticles, micelles, nanocapsules, nanoemulsions or liposomes. In the present study, we will present how two different nanostructures, presenting identical mass compositions and both capable of preserving the integral qualities of active ingredients, bath significantly differ in their behaviour, such as physicochemical properties, toxicity, permeation and delivery.Note de contenu : - Question of structure

Fibres polyesters

Teinture -- Fibres textiles synthétiquesIndex. décimale : 667.3 Teinture et impression des tissus Résumé : Optimisation of conditions for dyeing polyester with liposome-encapsulated CI Disperse Red 50 was performed using response surface methodology. The effects of temperature, time, and lecithin:dye ratio on the colour strength of dyed fabrics were investigated by a central composite design. The coefficient of determination, the probability value in analysis of variance, and the normality plot of residuals demonstrated sufficient significance of the proposed fitness function. It was found that the temperature and time of the dyeing cycle were effective factors in the dyeing of polyester fabrics with encapsulated dye. It was also established that the colour yield of dyed fabrics was above 25 in the case of a dyeing time of >80 min, a lecithin:dye ratio of ?2, and a temperature of ca. 128 °C. Comparison of colour strengths produced by liposome-encapsulated dye and commercial dye revealed that there was approximately the same build-up on polyester. Dyeings from encapsulated CI Disperse Red 50 exhibited very similar fastness to dyeings from conventional CI Disperse Red 50. Teinture -- Fibres textiles synthétiquesIndex. décimale : 667.3 Teinture et impression des tissus Résumé : Three novel cationic liposomes were prepared from commercial soybean lecithin (neutral liposome) and stearylamine (cationic liposome) as a catalyst or accelerating agent for the alkaline hydrolysis of polyester fabric. The formation of 1:1, 1:6 and 1:12 cationic liposomes was confirmed by transmission electron microscopy, nitrogen content and Fourier Transform-infrared spectroscopy. Factors affecting the alkaline hydrolysis performance of polyester fabric in the presence and absence of cationic liposomes were investigated. Size measurements of the three cationic liposomes showed that the vesicle size was 27.88 nm for the 1:1 cationic liposome, 15.57 nm for 1:6 and 10 nm for 1:12, in comparison with 50 nm for neutral liposome. The results showed that alkaline hydrolysis in the presence of cationic liposomes improves the hydrophilicity and dyeability of polyester fabric and creates more carboxylic groups on the fabric. The silky polyester fabric was characterised by scanning electron microscopy, tensile strength, elongation at break, crease recovery angle and surface roughness to prove the success of the cationic liposomes as accelerating agents in the alkaline hydrolysis process. The results also indicate that the colour strength of hydrolysed polyester fabric in the presence of cationic liposomes dyed with disperse dye was slightly higher than that obtained in the absence of cationic liposomes and with unhydrolysed fabric. Furthermore, the fastness properties of hydrolysed polyester in the absence and presence of cationic liposomes do not vary.
