Stabilisants (chimie)Index. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : Coating is a complex subject if formulators want to formulate defects free and yet obtain the best stable performance coating. The most complex part of coating is the wetting and dispersing of stabilizing solid particles in the system. Thus, dispersion of solid in liquids involveds extensive colloid chemistry in order for us to understand how these particles can be wetted, dispersed and eventually stabilized. Stabilization of pigments is the most important factor in coating to ensure a well dispersed pigmented coating.
Below are the definitions for wetting, dispersing as well as stabilization in relation to coating.Note de contenu : Wetting - Dispersing - Stabilization
- AGGLOMERATION, AGGREGATES AND FLOCCULATION : Flocculation forces
- WAYS TO DO STABILIZATION : Pigments pre-treatment - Dispersing resins - Resins in the system - Dispersant as additives
- BASIC DISPERSANT CRITERIA : Compatibility - Low surface tension - Pigment affinity group, anchoring group
- DISPERSANT ADDITIVES AND THEIR HISTORY : Conventional wetting and dispersing agent - High molecular weight dispersants
- TEST METHODS FOR OPTIMAL STABILITY BY DISPERSING AGENT : Rub out test - Pour out test
- PROBLEMS RELATED TO POOR STABILIZATION : Poor color strength/tinging strength - Color stability - Flooding and floating - Synaeresis - Poor gloss/loss of gloss - Transparency of organic pigment and carbon black - Leveling and flow - Influence of other factors toward the efficiency of dispersants - Compatibility - Amount of milling resins- Milling viscosityPermalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=12102

ThermodurcissablesIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : We report on the application of electric fields for the alignment and network formation of carbonaceous fillers in an epoxy resin thermoset during the curing. The structuring of the conductory distribution by means of inhomogeneous electric fields in a carbon black filled epoxy resin will be shown. The use of homogenous electric fields induces a preferential orientation and chain formation of fibrous filler particules. This will be demonstrated for dispersions of carbon nanofibres in epoxy resin in an alternating electric field. The resultant anisotropy of the electrical properties will be discussed.
