Textiles et tissusIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : The incorporation of nanoparticles (NPs) into textile fabrics can transform ordinary products to endow the new functional characteristics owing to their interesting surface characteristics. The surface functionalization of NPs can play a key role in controlling the colloidal stability followed by interactions between substrate and NPs leading to enhanced functional characteristics. Here, the synthesis of ZnO NPs was carried out through hydrothermal method. The surface of NPs was modified using silanol and tertiary amine-based coupling agents. The functionalized NPs were characterized using zeta potential, size distribution, XRD, EDX, and FTIR. The size of prepared NPs was observed as 34 nm. The disperse stability of functionalized NPs was studied by varying the concentration of coupling agent and assessed through the ultraviolet protection factor (UPF) and antibacterial activity of the fabrics treated with functionalized NPs. The functionalized NPs exhibited stable dispersion with higher zeta potential and have a smaller size. A significant improvement in the UPF value and antibacterial activity of treated cotton fabrics was observed.

Sulfure de zincIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : Paint/coatings are become increasingly important area of research for solar cells since it can be used for energy generation or improvement in efficiency and durability of existing photovoltaic technologies. The coatings with antireflective, super hydrophobic, transparency, weather scratch resistance etc. function or their combination are being used / attempted for this purpose. The amorphous Si or other thin film Si, cadmium telluride, copper indium gallium selenide etc and 3rd generation technologies such as nano-crystalline dye sensitized solar cell (DSSC) polymer/organic photovoltaic (OPV), hybrid solar cell technologies etc. are very important for coating technologist. With the availabiIity of wide variety of nano & polymeric architecture there exists a good possibility of combining them to get solar coatings for power generation. This can be made possible through shirting research focus on application of inexpensive materials and fabrication methods, disruptive combination materials, self assembly fabrication, morphology & size controls of materials, quantum dots, fullerene or their low cost alternatives etc. The challenge is to overcome the defect density and low mobility developing or combining materials to absorb across visible spectrum and get control led nanostructure architecture. Technique de la productionIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : This paper discusses the future of automotive coating within the automotive assembly.
Within a relatively 'mature' production concept like that employed in automobile manufacture it will be particularly important for the future automotive coating to establish how the coating process and its requisite infrastructure can be integrated into changing material selection concepts in body construction and production processes on acceptable economic terms. It will be imperative to be able to produce sustainable solutions for controlling a level of complexity that is increasing exponential. Structural design and production concept have to be taken into account and the increasing demands in terms of functional quality for coatings have to be projected in formulations and application techniques. The only road to the future will involve reorientation. In order to quantify its embodiments the present status must be applied as an initial platform for the change efforts in order to evaluate whether it will be feasible to implement innovative approaches economically.Note de contenu : - Body construction
