Powders are used as pigments and extenders, as thickeners or matting agents, preservatives, adhesion promoters, anti-settling agents, thixotropic agents and much more.
ystral provides a powder addition technique which is different from all other technologies available on the market. It is so effective, that the production costs can be reduced to 1/10th the costs associated with traditional methods.Note de contenu : - Five steps in one

Réticulation (polymérisation)Index. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : Corrosion protection is a key requirement for steel in numerous applications like automotive, ACE, construction, appliances and metal furniture.
Traditionally the area of corrosion protective paints is dominated bu epoxy-systems (liquid and powder), however to further reduce the usage of bisphenol-A and improve worker safety, there is a trend to lower the amount of epoxy paints used, for instance, by switching to other systems like polyester-based powder coatings. For several years DSM scientists have worked on the development of polyester resins that perform equally well better than current epoxy systems.Note de contenu : - Effects of cure

Tannage Résumé : As an alternative to chrome tanning, and alter having carried out a study of the availability at a local and regional level, chemically unmodified pine bark could be used as a natural source of tannins in order to obtain a vegetable-tanned leather. The aim of this work was to design a pre-tanning formulation using pine bark powder. To increase the penetration of vegetable tannins and use short floats in vegetable tanning, while reducing overall tanning times, three types of synthetic agents were studied : a phenolic syntan, a disulphonic agent and a naphthalene sulphonic syntan. Once, having selected the most appropriate syntan, an experimental design was developed in order to obtain an optimised formulation based on pine bark powder and syntan. The optimal pre-tanning formulation uses a 15% offer of pine bark powder and 2.5% of naphthalene sulphonic agent. Note de contenu : - MATERIALS AND METHODOLOGY : Materials - Equipment - Methodology

TitaneIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Bamboo fibers (BFs) coated with titanium urushiol (BFTiU) was prepared by in situ reaction. Effects of activation time, urushiol concentration, reaction time and butyl titanate concentration etc on the coating ratio of BFTiU were investigated. On the other hand, the BFTiU was characterized by FTIR measurements, scanning electron microscope, thermo gravimetric analysis and differential scanning calorimetry. The results showed that titanium urushiol compound was coated on the BFs by coordination reaction and the coating ratio of BFTiU reached 35% at the optimal preparation condition. It also could be found that BFTiU possessed better heat resistant properties than BFs. Due to titanium urushiol coated on BFs, the elongation at break, the maximum deflection and the bending strength of BFTiU/PP composites were 33%, 30 % and 10% higher than those of BP/PP composites respectively. Particularly, the tensile strength of BFTiU/PP composites was better than that of BP/PP composites at the presence of 70% BFTiU.
